Thor Vegas 2017 25.2 Gas mileage: 9.67mpg

I finally took a long trip from San Francisco bay area to San Diego and measured the gas mileage of 9.67 miles/gallon doing an average of 65 mph. The RV was very lightly loaded with 2 occupants with some stop and go driving along the way.

Thats not bad. I think my best avg was around 9 mpg (with Genny off)... but I tend to flow with traffic.

Thatís indeed excellent for large gasoline motorhome. Curious if you made it there on one tank?

By the way, how are gas prices in California? Probably makes fuel economy more important there.

In line with what we saw on NC trip last week. 1st leg, stop and go, I-4 slalom around Orlando - 9.25 MPG, next leg I95 up through GA, SC, - 10.3 MPG, final leg in rain off interstate - 11.4 MPG.

Return trip against headwind most of way, heavy rain and slowdowns, worst 8.75 MPG highest 9.9 MPG. Vegas ran flawlessly whole trip.

Mileage for 25.2

This got me curious as to what my mileage has been. For the last 5 trips between Atlanta and Moab, UT, I've had an Ultragauge and saved a picture of what the final MPG was.

So,over 8979 miles, our MPG has averaged out to be 9.44. This was all doing about 70 MPH (where legal, of course).

The daily numbers are much more varied. I've seen as low as 7ish (usually in Kansas or Texas) and as high as over 10 (freakishly, going over the mountains in Colorado!).
