Just went camping for the weekend ... went to retract the slide and it stopped about 5 inches shy of being totally retracted. Motor got slow and sounded sluggish. Thought maybe the battery was low, so I turned on the generator to help with the power boost? Pushed the slide back out two times and retracted it each time ... then it finally retracted all the way the third time. Do I need to have the slide motor checked? Does it just need to be lubed? I do not want to be stranded somewhere with the slide out, cuz you cannot drive with it out I wouldn't think??? THANK YOU!!!!

All of the above
But call the manufacturer of the awning first
They should be able to provide guidance on Lube & checking-out

Could be that a simple Lube will fix
Or
A new motor is needed

Thanks for that reply ... this is for my kitchen slide out, not the awning. But I think the advice still applies.
