Trailer plug 12 volt fuse location

I have a 2016 Thor Miramar 34.4. The fuse has blown for the 12 volt power to the 7 pin plug on the back. I can't figure out where the fuse is located. I checked the fuses under the dash and the ones in the engine compartment but can not find which feeds the plug.

I have the same problem with my 2017 Windsport, no power to 7 way trailer connector plug in and cannot find a bad fuse. Checked under the dash and under the hood, all are good...relay?

Any help is appreciated...

Chris

My experience is that it may not be an obvious blown fuse but one that was never installed. Look for an empty hole! My 2 cents worth.

I am not sure if the attached schematic will help since it says Challenger, Miramar for 2013 (If I read it correctly). In many cases chassis wiring may stay the same over the years so its worth a try. Check out the Trailer 7 pin wiring assignments on the left side of the drawing.....says for the "charge line", black wire; ignition switched; a 30 amp in line fuse on the fire wall.......good luck with that, but it's a start. Hope it helps you out.

Battery charge pin on 7 pin connector

I spent hours searching for the fuse that powered the 12 Volt battery charge pin on my 7 pin connector. The Thor folks insisted it was in the Ford fuse box under the dash on the drivers side.

I finally located it in the fuse panel installed by Thor. It's located just to the left of the Ford box drivers side under the dash. It is a 30 AMP fuse located down between the 4 relays located in the box. If you need a photo I can post one.

Dan, if you can share a pic without too much trouble that would help. I thought I checked all of those fuses...but heck, happy to try again to finally fix this issue.

Cheers!
Chris

Thor Fuse Panel

Here is a drawing of the Thor Fuse Panel. It is fuse F5. In my fuse box it is a 30 amp. I believe there is a schematic of the fuses on the inside of the box cover.

I had a bad charge line on my hitch connector as well which caused by BlueOx Patriot to discharge the toad battery and this thread was extremely helpful. Thanks everyone. FYI, what Thor calls the "Chassis Fuse Box" is powered by an in-line 100A bussman breaker located in the engine compartment by the chassis battery.

Dan in Cheyenne, thanks for the information about F5, 30 amp fuse between the relays in the fuse/relay box with a Thor logo on it. I couldn’t find any information on that box on any of our 2017 Challenger 37YT. On a recent trip we found 4 of the wires had separated from the pins on the 6 pin round end of the wiring harness between the coach and the toad. The turn signals were inoperative also, but this problem was fixed changing F22, a 20 amp fuse in the fuse/relay box above the Thor box. Your explanation and picture were very helpful. Thank you.
