WeBoost Drive Sleek
I bought a WeBoost Drive Sleek a couple of weeks ago, hoping to use it in both the motorhome and the toad. (Too cheap to spring for $500 for the permanent models). I got a chance to use it this week in an area where we were getting one bar, sometimes two. The Sleek boosted signal to 3 to 4 bars and seem to work quite well.
I mounted a 12”x12” galvanized steel sheet to the motorhome roof and attached the standard antenna to the roof, temporarily routing the cable through a side window. Now that I’ve proved it out, I’d like to install something more permanent. I bought a second antenna through Amazon but found it had SMA fittings while the Drive Sleek uses SMB fittings. WeBoost technical support advised me that the attenna wouldn’t work with the Sleek so I returned it. I’m starting to think that maybe all I needed was an SMA to SMB connector.
I need a second antenna for a permanent mount, but WeBoost wasn’t able to point me to one. Has anyone used an attenna other that the one that comes in the box with a Drive Sleek. If so, what was it and what installation details were there?
