Had the same problem in my Hurricane, backup lights were wired at the light incorrectly.

It will be a lot easier to figure out if you have the wiring diagrams. This is your road map where to test with a test light or volt meter. If you have a Ford v10 you can go on eBay or diymanuals.com and try to find the Ford dvd for your year chassis. The dvd will provid service manual and wiring diagrams for all ford vehicles made that year. After installation use the pull down menu and pick your vehicle chassis like E450. To see the wiring diagrams you have to install the svg viewer. Click on tools then adobe then win2k then svgviewer and allow installation. You can print the wiring diagram and it will also give you the color code for each wire which I found to be very helpful. Good luck.

Back Up Lights

The other issue is that those Command Electronics light fixtures are well known for water leaks which can cause problems too.

reverse lights won't work

Jim Bo
can you clarify where you found the bad fuse?
we have exact same problem in a 2015 Thor Axis 24.1 (but with a 2014 leftover E350 V10 Ford motor).
which fuse box - exterior compartment under driver seat, under dash or engine compartment?
thanks!

did you ever find out which fuse? The list of fuses on the cover does not say backup lights.

Tired Bill: no, sorry, i also could not find a fuse specifically labeled for rear lights. in the end it was not a fuse problem - instead was the more common water infiltration problem combined with the pins on the light bulb receptacle being a little loose. solved by "squeezing" pins closer together for better contact, and reinstalling light lenses with Butyl tape for water protection. Hope that helps. I eventually will replace the entire light housing as the leaks will return. See many other threads here about better light fixtures.
