Xantrex 1800 Inverter

The inverter is under the bed and it is so loud we can't sleep and have to turn up the tv. This is in a 2017 Thor Hurricane. Anyone else having this problem?

I doubt it is the inverter that is making the noise unless you are running the microwave. The WFCO power center, charger/converter has a fan than runs based on the power draw of the charger/converter. The power center is located under the bed next to the storage drawer. The fan has three speeds and even the lowest speed it is quite noisy. The only solution I know of is to replace the charger/converter fan with a quieter one.

But the charger/converter shouldn't be on if you aren't plugged in... Running TV's off inverter implies no shore power or genny to drive the converter.

the fans can be loud, and annoying... mine is under the bed in the storage bay and we can also hear it easily... when the temperature is higher than 80-85 degrees, most will run the fan... at least until the temperature around the inverter/charger is back to below those numbers...

if the inverter is working, while you are not on shore power, then the fan may come on to cool it down
if the charger is working, while you are on shore power, and it is in bulk charge mode, it will also run
