Axle alignment

I have asked the dealer to perform an axle alignment verification on our unit.

Figured it would reveal if there are any issues with the axles and ensure if there are that the issues are taken care of under the axle warranty.

We are planning a 5000 mile trip next year an I am trying to minimize the chance of having issues related to bent or out of alignment axles.

Had the wet bolt kit installed so that should help the suspension components.

I will be inspecting the brakes and bearings before we make the trip (annual maintenance item that I perform).

Bob, if you don't mind me asking what did they charge you for the wet bolt kit and install.

Syracuse Camping World installed it for $185.00

I purchased the kit from Lippert - Suspension Kit with EQ-WB2 , part # 045-157641, $95.34 (included shipping).

I did not have the tools to perform the installation and I figured if I had issues with the installation I could take the RV back to correct any issues.

Thanks. I will look into this after the first of the year since we have to big trips planned between now and then. I can't seem to keep our trailer out of the shop long enough to sell it so I might as well keep it up the best I can until we do. We have a Camping World not far from us I have used before.

Is this just the price for the wet bolt kit? I didn't pay this much for the whole kit with the equa-flex equalizers.

Got the laser alignment done at Camping world ($99.00) - the service rep said the alignment was good.

Read the shop order when I got home and this is what was recorded:

left front 23.6 9/16 right front 23.6 5/8
left rear 20 9/16 right rear 20 15/16

So what is good?

wet bolt kit

I have a 305skp and was wondering about the wet bolt kit, is there a big advantage to having that done, also what was the Suspension Kit? Looking at a trip to Alaska summer of 2013 and want to be prepared.
thanks

The suspension kit is the wet bolt kit - standard suspension use plastic bushings vs brass bushings with the wet bolt kit. Also the shackles are mad of thicker metal. And of course the bolts have a zerk for greasing - the bolt has two holes for the grease to go through. If I were making a trip to Alaska I would install the wet bolt kit - the drive is hard on trailer suspensions.
