Wall issue

We have these hard bumps on our panel below the drivers side window. Could this be water leakage from the window down into the panel and rusting the inside?Click image for larger version

Have you tried putting a pinhole in one of them, and squishing it back down in place?

Use a tiny pin: just enough to let any air out from behind it.
Good luck!

You have a leak and need to find it soon as the problem will only get worse.

Try the pin hole ,if the tool shows no moisture and the bumps are hard then pin hole doesn't change anything it could be welding splatter with wall paper over it.

If the bumps are hard: I pretty wouch would doubt that it's any sort of leakage.
The water would be softening up whatever it might be rotting.

Sorry to say I’m pretty confident that it is, in fact, water damage. Check the window frame and channel weep holes but also the roof and side seams. Water is relentless and doesn’t always come from where you’d think. If the wall isn’t warped you’re probably still good if you can find and fix the leak.

This issue has been seen many times before; it is always water leakage.

Ditto. We had similar bulging below the window of our Vegas and the shop confirmed the siding was beyond salvage. Both driver and passenger side had to be totally replaced. If you caught it soon enough, the panels might be salvageable and the cost significantly lower. Labor was $2200 for both sides, not including parts.

I have the exact same hard wallpaper bumps in the exact same places! By the driver seat wall. I have a 2019 Windsport 27B. I live in San Diego it does rain, but does get water roof runoff.

Cherylfair, did you get that water meter tool to verify its water?

Thanks

we have an Axis 24.1 2016.....windows, track, and most importantly the joint where the front cap and coach join all are subject to vibration and need to be resealed regularly. Here in Kingston and area we win the roughest roads award every year.
passenger side done again yesterday.
on a recent trip to the north we hit some very rough roads and after a couple of days of travel the seams allowed some slight drips.
I will look for the posts that deal with this in more detail.
Rick

Wall issue

Those little hard pimples are pretty easy to ignore and there is an understandable reluctance to believing there is an ongoing water intrusion problem. But that’s what it is and it needs to be addressed at the very first appearance. Good luck.

I agree with Rick that the persistent bubble problem may well be caused by a leak at the end cap/ gutter junction. If it were me, I would re-seal that whole area. I have removed windows that I thought were the problem just to discover that the source was really the joints higher up. The intruding water will find a path down as far as gravity will allow it and either escape or be soaked into the wall if it can't drain out.

Follow up I just got my ACE back from Thor they took the window out ,took panel off replace ,sealed around mirrors, top of roof ,around antenna, getting 5% readings on moisture meter Thor said that was in their standard I don’t know but we’ll see
