THOR #129
Hello - So many Thor Brands

Just curious as to why no one has posted here? I own a Heartland and really didn't realize Thor owned them. Any comments?
Also didn't realize that Keystone was also made by Thor. That scares me.

Welcome!
This a relatively new forum but our membership is growing steadily.
Why does it scare you that Keystone is also a Thor product?

One thing about Thor is that they pretty much leave their different companies alone and do not mandate how they are run. This is good and this can be bad. One of the reason I went with a CrossRoads product was because of this thinking. However since than the founder has passed on and I have seen a change at CrossRoads rv where they have brought in the management from Carrige. These folks have made some changes that are going to effect the long trem of CrossRoads ie they have gotten rid of most if not all of the people who made this company grow and gave it a good rep. They have started to ruin their customer base. There are a lot of folks including me that are on their second or third Crossroads prouduct. But more than likely when we do it once more, this next year we will not return. Now does this extend through out the entire Thor group I think not

Keystone at least out west, has been plagued with delam problems and quality control problems. The dealers out here have been less than the best also. I do like the 5th wheels and came very close to buying one. I hope they leave Heartland alone.

Curly, so far it looks as if Thor intends to leave Heartland alone. It seems that it was strictly a money deal, Heartland had an investment firm that wanted to sell their stock in HL and Thor wanted to buy a profitable company, so the deal was made.

We had a Heartland Bighorn for 6 years and absolutely loved it. Service was great and went beyond their limits to help us out. I just wish they built motorhomes as we would have bought one. Great company!

Glad I stumbled upon this forum . . . we need to get it going!

We are on our second Heartland RV right now.

Started out with a 2013 Heartland Trail Runner TT in September of 2012, and traded it in one year ago last week for our current 2015 Heartland Prowler, which will be one year old (and officially out of warranty) this coming Memorial Day.

We love our Prowler and hope to get many more years out of it before we upgrade to something bigger!

Heartland has it's own forum. It is extremely active with a lot of very knowledgable Heartland owners. They do have a Heartland owners club that you can join ($) with state and national rallies.

I know . . . that is how I found this forum!

I am also a member of the Heartland Owner's Club . . .

Matter of fact, we just attended our seventh HOC Rally two weeks ago!

I previously owned a Heartland Bighorn. I enjoyed the rallies but have not been able to attend recently.

I had a trailer built by Heartland and no problems. The only issues I had with it is the cushions could be padded a little better. Other than that no problems.
