Do you prefer clear, or amber?

I don't know where you are in IL but I just picked up one at Tri County RV in Chillicothe north of Peoria. They where about $5 and handy for me. They are also a very class dealer that is extremely helpful. They also go over all their RVs with a fine tooth comb to make sure there are minimal problems.

Thanks KNMIB. We are just outside of Chicago, so that would be a drive for just a lens. We were tempted though. I was going to order 3 from Amazon, because I know this is going to happen again, but they wanted the full shipping price for each one, About $45 for 3 lens.

We got them on ebay for $16, (price plus shipping)

I was prepared with the links because someone was looking for the lens on the IRV2 Thor Forum.

Apparently, they contacted Thor CS. They were instructed to use a small dab of clear silicone to prevent it from happening again, (yet very easy to remove, if you haven't upgraded to an LED bulb).

Beacher, You mentioned LED. Is there any difference in 1141 and 1157 bulbs. I know 1141s burn cooler but that wont matter with LEDs

I put a ginormous LED in my fixture. With 66 LEDs, it is very bright. The one I bought will fit in the porch light housing:

It pretty much lights up the entire underside of my awning.

The LED is too big to fit in the inside fixtures though, only the outside porch light fixture.

Single filament - #1141
Dual filament - #1157

I think the OEM bulb is the #1141.

I myself have not converted to LED yet, so I would just put a small dab of clear silicone to keep the lens from falling off. But, if I had an LED with a 20,000 hour life expectancy, I might use a bit more silicone.

I used this one in mine and it works great. I'd say it is somewhat brighter than the factory bulb, but not TOO bright.
