2012 Thor Serrano 34M Ent. Center Ket

I am looking for information on a key for the outside entertainment center key. My R001 key that unlocks all of the storage compartments and after some lubrication, fits in the entertainment center lock but will not turn. I have e-mailed Thor several days agobut have not heard back from them yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Does any one out ther in the community know? Would appreciate any help and or suggestions.

Thank You!

When I bought my coach the dealer only had one key for the outside entertainment area and one barrel key for the hood. Thor got the hood key right on the first attempt but it took them three tries to get me the second key for the entertainment door.

My lock on the entertainment door is not a standard cam lock. Mine uses a 507CH and the number is stamped on the lock by the key slot.

Thanks Dave,

I bought the coach used and the previous owner did not remember evr locking the entertainment center. There is no number stamped on the assembly that I could find. I have found that it is made by Southco and is called a Lockable Compression Lever Latch. Hopefully Thor will come through, but I havr found out how to get the lock cylinder out and could take it to a local lock smith.

Thanks Again

If you can post a pic of the lock someone might have the same and steer you closer to the goal.

I attached a picture (I Hope) from Southco's web site. Hope this helps. Maybe someone will recognize this.

Another popular Southco key is the CH751. That key is used on numerous cam locks and storage shed door locks. I have also seen the same keys being used on Pickup Truck Cap Locks. That lock looks slightly similar to mine and a 507 or 751 may work.

Thanks Again Dave!

Is that key a double sided key? It seems to accept a double sided key and not a single sided.

No, it is single sided, however, it will go in the lock upside down without working. Drive me nuts thinking I have the wrong key until I remember to flip it over and I can never remember if it goes in teeth up or down..

I hate when that happens! Hopefully Thor will come through with some info. Otherwise, I will take the cylinder out and see what our local locksmith can do. Thanks for you input, maybe someone else will be able to help also. The cylinder has little brass ears on opposing sides ao I think it is a double sided key. Don't know if the lock would accept a single sided cylinder.

One point of clarification, the key has slots on both sides but has teeth on one edge only.

The key that I think will work has slots on both sides and teeth on both sides Like this example. Name: untitled.png

I was able to remove the lock cylinder again last night and you were right. The cylinder was set up for a key with teeth on one side. I took it down to our local locksmith and in about 15 minutes and $6 later, I have 2 keys that will work the lock. When I get home I will re-install the cylinder and make sure it works. One of the tumblers was missing? so if Thor had ever gotten back to me, the key they suggested might not even work.
