Welcome to the site.

Dewinterizing is fairly straightforward process: Fill the water tank a little, setup the winterizing valves for summer, make sure water heater has the plug in, pump water through each faucet until pink stuff is gone.

After that if you wish to sanitize the system then you put a cup or two of bleach in the fresh water tank and fill it up, run water through each faucet until you smell the bleach, let it sit for a few hours (longer is better) then drain the tank, fill with fresh and repeat "every faucet" until you no longer smell bleach.

Thank you., Jamie. I presume the bypass valves are behind the panel underneath the closet on the driver’s side.

Looking at your floorplan I think you are correct.

Usually those valves are on the front of the water heater and it appears that is where your water heater is.

If you flush with the valves in winter mode you eliminate pushing antifreeze to the hot water heater. It is an. Extra step but keeps the water heater from having antifreeze settling.

What he said
I might add when I add the bleach in the fresh water tank for sanitizing is when I turn valves to summer mode. Pushes the chlorinated water into an empty hot water heater.

Thanks

All helpful. Thanks. There must not be any technical writers where Thor manufactures.

I need to sanitize my water system but it looks like I don't have a crossover valve. Has anyone seen this? Should I add one?

If you have the tankless "On-Demand" water heater it will not have a cross-over valve.

WOW! that was quick, thank you.
I need to run bleach through my lines to sanitize, would I just shut off the two valves?

Check your water heater manual but the diluted bleach solution should be fine in the water heater.

Check upstream of those two lines. There is a slight chance you will find a crossover line and valve.

But if not, then as Ted says, open the two valves (otherwise you won’t get any hot water flow), turn the wh off and flush with diluted bleach. Then thoroughly flush with fresh water before you turn the hw heater back on.
