2016 Vegas generator question

My generator will only start with the coach running. Doesn’t matter what position the use/store switch is in. Battery indicator shows a full charge. Think I’ve tried all combos. Any help appreciated.

I'm assuming this is a "new to you" RV and this is the way it's always worked since you've had it?

So no telling how the wiring has been changed, but there should be a + cable from the house batteries to a 100 amp DC breaker that supplies starting and control power for the generator.

Sounds like that link is broken and instead the generator is attached to the chassis/house batteries cross-connect circuitry.

When you say "wont start", are you saying it wont attempt to turn over, or just not start?

OP found the generator breaker from the house batteries open. He reset it and resolved his problem but forgot to update the thread.
