Sensor ? On Driver’s side sun shade

Please see the attached photo. This sensor (?) is hanging down from what looks like the sunshade. Can anyone tell me what it is for and if I can tuck it back up out of the way? Thank you

Mine looks a little different, but I believe it is what lets you adjust the downward travel of the sunshade.

Front shade adjustment.
Our shade only went down half way during walk thru
MHS reprogrammed to go down all the way and said leave hanging

May I ask why this sensor is necessary? Being new to RVing, I noticed this item also hanging down in my class A. I have a switch on the dash that allows me to adjust the screen to any position desired. As long as the key isn't in the ignition. When key is in, it will only drop about a third of the way as not to block the drivers view.
AM I missing something??

On closer inspection, it looks like it might be a push button?

The adjustment is for when the engine is running. A shorter person can have the shade lower when driving. A taller person, higher. The adjustment allows for this.

Guess I am the same size as Thor's test dummy. The current set height is perfect for me. Guess that's why the wires hanging down didn't mean that much. Just attributed it as shotty workmanship while the coach was being built. I learn something every time I log on. Thanks everyone!
Just have to learn how to post the picture the right way.
