Delamination found

Looking for a repair shop that still does good work for delamination on sidewall of class C. Found a small area at the rear of drivers sidewall in rear, rust on the screws on corner molding, figured water got in at that point.

We are located in central Kentucky but willing to drive for a good repair shop.
Thanks,
Jim

In your previous post, I sent you a link to a delamination repair kit. Did you not get it or are you just not wanting to do it yourself?

I don't think it is something I can do by myself. Having to create a clamping system and getting into something that MIGHT become a much larger event is beyond what I want to do.

Talked with the factory and will let them have a look at damage and get an estimate. So still looking for a second option.

I talked with a few local repair shops but they don't want to do this type of repair. Having viewed some videos on the subject I can understand.

Still looking.
Thanks

Look up this company. I'm not sure they do the work but they have a great reputation for their delamination repair kits.

Jim...I would seriously consider taking it back to the factory service center since you're not that far away. Their rate is only $100 per hour and they know it...they built it. Total hours repairing will be minimized by their familiarity of the coach. At least if will get fixed right the first time and not sit on a dealer's lot for weeks...leaking. As an old boss of mine so famously said...too often..."just do it and be done".

Have an appointment for Thanksgiving week, made a visit there for inspection last month to have them look at the damage. Trying to figure out the lack of replacement decals available.

Thinking of just using a newer design on drivers side, something close to the other side. Still looking.
Thanks for the advice, Talking to one more shop about repair, will know more next week.

What if any indication did the factory give you upon their inspection the other month? Was it a satisfactory answered, will they be able to fix the panel? Reason I'm asking cause my super c is delaminating driver side rear. Hope it works out for you at the factory next month.

Thanks Bob, least someone is paying attention. Maybe he'll answer on how he made out in Indiana.

If you need an expert's opinion on fiberglass: look to the boating industry.
