2023 ACE 29g..Outside Shower Leak

Checking RV today in advance of cold Temps in 20's expected tonight.

The outside shower in wet bay serves as our low point drain. First time we used it as coach is still new.

When we turned on the hot and cold faucets water leaked out from the top where the riser connects to the hot and cold valve section piece.

See photo image.

Seems like it is coming from above the T connection.

Any thoughts on quick fix or another 100 mile RT excursion to General RV Ocala.Click image for larger version

Forget the trip - just order a replacement from the jungle site.

$18 or less for the same quality faucet assembly. Or get a better quality one for a few dollars more.

That is my inclination as well...just trying to figure out access to the back end. Sits in the wet bay next to Gray and Black tank releases. There is a power switch for the macerator and the Santi flush connection on that same panel to work around.Click image for larger version

This looks like an improvement but may need to find an installer in Orlando...Clermont FL area other than General RV Ocala as they usually want you to leave it and get to it when they can....Click image for larger version

Does anyone with an ACE and similar wet bay...see photo...know how to take off the black panel that the faucet connects to to access the water lines to install a new faucet?Click image for larger version

Took a closer look at set up...looks like there are 7 or 8 screws that hold the black panel in place.

Does anyone know the approach to faucet removal? Do you take the knobs H and C off by removing the cover plates marked H and C? Are there bolts behind them to unscrew and free up the faucet?

Getting to the hot and cold water supply connections is the more difficult part as they are behind the black panel.Click image for larger version

I'll look at mine tomorrow - it's very similar in my ACE. I suspect you remove the hot and cold knobs by popping out the center caps and unscrewing a retaining nut.
Then the white cover plate is probably held in place by retaining nuts on the shafts. Once the front plate is removed there are probably screws to hold the rear plate and valve assembly in place. Once you can pull the valve assembly forward you can probably unscrew the supply piping nuts.

OR, the entire assembly may just be held in place by retaining nuts on the inlet piping on the valve assembly behind the black board.

Thanks ACE.

Unfortunately if the gray tank was a few inches higher I could get may hands behind the black panel to access the rear connections of the water supply hoses...I can see them but can not touch them, thus that black panel will likely need to be loosened to get access.

Chances are it’s just that little plastic vacuum fitting leaking. Might’ve frozen and split. Unscrew the hose fitting. Then try just tightening the little plastic fitting. It screws in and out. May just need a new fitting.

I looked at mine today; pictures attached. Yours is probably the same shower and the board is attached similarly.

My board hangs from the top of the enclosure by an L-Bracket with two screws.

My shower faucet is held to the board like most faucets by large nuts on the inlet piping.

Thanks ACE and Jimbo.

I ordered that vacuum breaker to see if that is an easy fix before replacing the faucet and dealing with the black shield. Mine appears to be attached to the cargo wet bay with screws on the left edge and base bottom.

I agree - that's your plate connection. Looks like your plate is metal - mine is starboard.

Called Thor.....sending me a new faucet and agree removing the 6 screws should give us the access to the backside of the panel.

Received the new faucet from Thor and had General RV switch it out.

Water still leaks out of the T connection pin hole and General R V says that is by " design" as it reduces pressure in the line as the water travels to the shower head.

I am curious if anyone else experiences this when using a wet bay outdoor shower head and if GRV is correct?Click image for larger version

Quoting General RV....

I did find the water is coming from the hose inlet for the sprayer hose which is by DESIGN.

Look up the faucet set and see what the manufacturer’s literature says about the faucet. If it by design the literature will let you know.
