24FE brake control

We'll be picking up a 2018 24FE on the sprinter chassis. I'll need to install a brake controller. Does anyone know if there is a wire harness already installed for this? I didn't see one when we looked it over, and the previous owner didn't know.

If it has the 6-pin receptacle at the trailer hitch, it should be wired all the way up to the front of the coach. Usually zip tied somewhere close to the steering column under the dash.
The brake controller connection can be a pain to find sometimes. Once you find it, you will need the short pigtail that plugs into the brake controller connection. Or you can order a a premade adapter that plugs into the brake controller depending on brand that fits the brake controller harness under the dash.

On edit, welcome to the forum....

I assume a 24FE is a Freedom Elite class c on a Ford E450 chassis. If that is correct the brake controller connection may be behind the coin holder on the dash board. That is where it was located on my class c a few years ago.

Here's an explanation from eTrailer

FYI if it makes sense for you, I went with a controller from Kurt that plugs into the round plug by the hitch and your trailer, dolly, toad, etc. plugs into it. Zero installation and portable but a bit more expensive.

I have a sprinter chateau and I went with a Kurt brake controller that's blue tooth to my phone it plugged into the 6 pin connector where the trailer goes into. No need to cut up the dash to install win win
