Oxidation ????

I have a 2016 Axis 25.2 and the area above the windshield is starting to get oxidized. The rest of the buggy looks great it's just that top cap. Can I use rubbing compound on it or is there something special I should use?
Thanks a lot.

Does yours look like this? I have spoken to Thor and they will do nothing about it other than recommend a certain product which I cannot get here in Canada and they do not know if it will work. I am taking it to a detailer in the next few weeks to see if it can be fixed.

It can be fixed with a lot of work. But it just happens again if you leave it out in the sun.

Its strange it only is in one spot whereas the rest of the coach is OK. I keep it covered in the winter and wash and wax it as needed which is usually every month. Thor said that something was spilt on it and even said it could be diesel fuel, but it would be pretty hard to spray fuel up that high !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will let you know how the detailing worked.

On my Axis, I think it’s the fact that the cap is horizontal to the full force of the sun. The driver’s side vertical wall which is also in the sun, but for a smaller percentage of time (the coach faces north/south and is protected somewhat on the west side so the north and east sides get the most direct sun) doesn’t fade as much or as fast as the cap. I could just turn it around (and I do sometimes) but that puts the one door on the wrong side and it fades the passenger side - which is the side that you live on when you use the coach. It also gives you four sides to really work on instead of one side and the cap. Whichever way - it is a pain. I’d be interested to know what the detailed uses - if it works.
