Gas stove flame goes out.

Hi Yall. 2019 Axis 25.6. Gas stove burner lites right up until I release the knob, whereby the flame goes out instantly. Is there a heat sensor that will strangle the gas supply if not given time to heat up? Thanks, EddieA

The only part of my stove that has a "push to light" requirement is the oven pilot light. The stove just has turn to light/adjust knobs and a sparker knob. Yours may be different.

Mine does have that "push to prine" function.
But there are variations on the theme...

I believe I have the same or similar stove in my 24.2. The gas is on when you turn the knob, ignited or not. If the flame is going out when you release the knob, I would think there is an issue with the valve. Perhaps it fails to a closed position?
