But since yours is not in the battery bay I would trace your positive terminal cables to find the 100 Amp DC breaker. On the other side of the breaker follow the cable(s): one goes to the generator starter solenoid; the other goes to the hydraulic pump solenoid. You may need to get on a mechanics' creeper to crawl under the MH. It should be in an accessible location because the pump does have a reservoir on it which needs the level checked periodically.

This should no longer be a mystery. Don't look underneath the RV for a hanging pump. Get underneath the RV and follow the electric cables/hydraulic lines.

I tried that today wires were hard to follow and disappeared into areas I have tried to follow but dead ends.

I have calls into Thor and General RV but no responses yet. I have service appointment with GRV on 1.30 so if not answered by then I will have them find it.

And finally, did you look under the hood? Plenty of room for a hydraulic pump/motor to be up there.

I actually did open the hood and saw nothing resembling the pump.

I also looked at the engine bat from underneath and saw no wires or pump.

Are there any other 2023 ACE owners on the forum who could comment on this issue?

Hopefully this isn't a dumb question....premise is what if there is no pump...Thor messed up again...is that even possible if the leveling jacks work such as during the PDI at General RV...I didn't know enough about it on 10.29.22 to ask the question I am now asking.

If it’s a hydraulic leveling system and it worked during the PDI there is a pump.

Why are you looking for the pump?

Did you follow a hydraulic line off the jacks like someone else suggested? You said you looked at the jacks but did you follow a hydraulic line?

On my rig the pump is under the coach right in front of the rear axle.

I did my best for a 72yo guy with a bad hip to crawl under and try to follow the lines out of the battery bay but they got lost behind some of the bays.

I checked under the engine area and the left and right tire wells.

I looked in the rear and did not see any lines.

Did you see the photo of my battery bay with all the wires behind the 2 batteries. In your opinion do they relate in anyway to the leveling system?

There is plenty of room in the battery bay for a pump so why Thor may have done something different is still an open question.Click image for larger version

Since you are not able to track the hydraulic lines, take it back to the dealer and have them show you where the pump is located.

Thor changes how they do things from time to time. It is their design and they even state in their literature that they have the right to change.

I do have dealer appt on 1 30 23 so if Thor doesn't respond after my Friday discussion I will add this to the list.

When you commented that yours is by the left rear axle how do you access it say to check fluid levels?

I have to crawl under the rv to check my system.

When you do find out where they hid it, please do a follow up here to let everyone else know for future reference.

Thanks
Paul

Amazingly I spoke with Thor and they do not know where the pump is. They admitted the schematic drawing is not helpful.

Best "guess" is possibly in engine bay but not sure exactly where or which side. Billy at Thor stated perhaps if on battery side, left side looking in, you may need to remove the dash cover where the computer tray is located to get access.

Strange they do not have better specs....frustration again.

What does it look like...do you see the actual pump with reservoir or is it in a box?

Wondering if these jacks are all electric..

Specs on Thor site offered no guidance
Try operating the jacks with the engine "off" in short bursts, even asking someone younger and more agile to hunt for the 'noise' of the pump. Operating the control in manual will allow you to control the pump operation.
Also why is "the controller" above the driver seat?? Can you provide a picture of that?
Thor brochures do not say if the "power levellers front and rear" are electric or hydraulic.
Find that younger person to hunt for you.

Found the pump and reservoir....down under the rear end between the left and right rear tires....see photos.

Not sure why Thor moved from the battery bay to this obscure location that is quite difficult to access the reservoir for this old man!Click image for larger version
