Ace...location of leveling jack hydraulic pump

See photos of my battery bay and what seems to lie behind the the batteries.

I was looking today for the Lippert leveling jack hydraulic pump and not sure I found it.

Any ideas? I checked other bays and found nothing like the photo in lippert manual page 2.Click image for larger version

I spoke with Lippert. They said if the slides and jacks extend.. which they do...there has to be a pump in the RV.

The rep said she saw hydraulic lines behind the battery but no pump.

I sent an inquiry to Thor but being Friday they are shut down now.

Any thoughts where I should look? I checks all bays and saw no pump.

Mine is right next to the battery. Have someone run the jacks and put your ear by each open door and listen for the pump running

Since the hydraulic pump/motor pulls a lot of current it is generally very close to the house batteries, many times in the battery bay.

But since yours is not in the battery bay I would trace your positive terminal cables to find the 100 Amp DC breaker. On the other side of the breaker follow the cable(s): one goes to the generator starter solenoid; the other goes to the hydraulic pump solenoid. You may need to get on a mechanics' creeper to crawl under the MH. It should be in an accessible location because the pump does have a reservoir on it which needs the level checked periodically.

Follow the hydraulic lines back to the pump if everything else fails

Tried to follow the wires. Nothing. Listened as both slides went in and out. Nothing. MYSTIFIED.

Slides don't use the hydraulic pump. It's for the leveling system.

Tried that and couldn't hear anything with engine noise.

Looked all the way under the coach and saw no pump hanging anywhere.

The controller is above the driver seat in a compartment.

Even looked under panels and sofa and bed and entry steps.

Wondering if these jacks are all electric..

Specs on Thor site offered no guidance

Did you go under and look at one of the jacks and follow the hydraulic line back to the pump or compartment. My closest one would be the passenger rear, the compartment is about 3 feet away. This is what mine looks like.

If you got underneath and looked at the jacks you should either see two hydraulic hoses going to each jack or a heavy electric cable and some control wires going to each jack.

I looked at Thor videos of the 2023 ACE 29D and 30C models and noticed they also did not have the pump in the battery bay like Bill Johnsons.

That 100 amp breaker shows one lead go to the generator and the other goes to the pump, might need to follow in the compartment and then crawl under and follow it to the pump
