Alternator voltage?

I have a 98 class a thor hurican and I know it shows a range of normal on the cluster but it's showing lower than normal. I checked the alternator and it's showing 13.5 .I'm just not understanding why the cluster dropped down and it has stayed down. It used to be up towards the middle on the cluster. It has been this way for 500 miles. Is this normal to drop down like that and stay?Click image for larger version

You apparently have a 1998 coach and alternators and voltage regulators have changed a lot over the last 20 years - especially around 2005-6. That being said, if your coach has been sitting for a day or two, after you start your engine the alternator should be putting out about 14.1+ volts to charge up your depleted starting battery. At some point when the starting battery is sufficiently charged the output should drop down to around 13.5v. If the alternator is not initially putting out 14.2v it could be an alternator or voltage regulator issue or a bad cell in your battery or a bad wire.

13.5 is a little low unless you are having a large draw on the system. You could have a weak battery, voltage regulator or alternator going bad. If you want to make sure, have the system load tested and checked out. Most Autozones, Advance Autos will test them for free.
