Due to the side radiator on our new rig there is no rear ladder. I got a telescoping ladder that can go up high enough but it seems super sketch to me. What options do others use to get up on the roof and do stuff when there is no rear ladder?
Also if you use a telescoping one, what is the best place to go up so you can get a good home to climb over onto the top and be able to get back down safely? Up the rear? On the sides? Should I have if extend past the roof line or have if lower than the roof line and rest it against the side of the RV?
Last time I tried it was was mid afternoon and the sun made the sides and roof of the RV hot as heck. What’s a good item to use to avoid the heat? Gloves, towel on the edges, something else?
I am used to having a rear ladder which made it so much easier
Also is there any after market ladders that can attach above the engine access compartment so you could then use a shorter ladder to get to the bottom of that and then climb up and over the top with a solid rear ladder? Or is that not really an option if there were no support mounts built in at the factory?
