Thor Aria Upgrade?

We have a 2018 Thor Hurricane 34j and considering moving to the Thor Aria 3901. Love Thors floorpan. Thoughts?

Love ours. Had a few initial issues, but the last 2 1/2 years have been trouble free. If you have any particular questions, feel free to PM me.

Windstorm 29M upgrades

I recently did 3 upgrades. I ordered reclining seats from shop 4 seats and installed those replacing the hideabed couch. It did take 5 months to get them but didn't mind waiting. The recliners are so comfortable. Only need 4.5 inches of clearance from the wall to fully recline. Went to Ikea and bought black out curtains. My wife cut them to length and hemmed the bottoms then made a piece to wrap around and velcro. It made a huge difference with the heat coming from the cab. I made 3 hangers and installed the rod to hold them. Last upgrade was removing the old foam on the cowling and replace with dynamax. The engine noise is much quieter now.

Will be an adjustment going from the Hurricane Gas to Aria Diesel with air breaks. Any thoughts for maintenance on diesel?

It is not that hard. Read, check youtube, follow your chassis paperwork.

For maintenance, go to the bank before going to the service center. My Cummins takes 25 quarts of oil. More frequent fuel filter changes and keep track of the air dryer for the brakes.

Also be prepared for a labor up charge on diesel pushers due to engine location. I have heard of as much as 25.00 per hour up charge at Freightliner dealers.

Enjoy.

I use the Traveler dish and Dish Wally receivers. Most of where we camp wifi is not an option. I also have 2 Dish Tailgaters for when we are in the trees.

DO you carry an outdoor fridge? If so, any modification or do you just stop it down?

We do not. The DW likes her beverages on ice. We carry a 125QT cooler in the front right bay.

Our Windsport 29m has an outside frig that runs on an inverter when not plugged in to 110v.

My brother and I bought the 2020 Aria 3901 in July 2020 for $204k. What a steal. Absolutely love it. Anyone who sees the interior with slide outs open are blown away. The wood cabinets and polished porcelain tile floor are beautiful. Took a 2 month trip last fall. Have a 16-week trip starting in 3 weeks.

A 16 week trip?
That sounds like fun!

That is some trip planned I bet. 16 weeks on the road. Sounds like an adventure in the making.

‘18 Aria 3901

We have had ours since 2018. Took a 7,000 mi 6 week trip last year. Been parked in Vegas, Cottonwood and north Phoenix since Thanksgiving for warmth. Just got back home to Lake Powell this week. Heading to Destin FL in May. We love it. Just keep an eye and keep things tight. Good luck

3601 Upgrade

We had the dealer install Thomas Payne Seismic Series Modular Theater Seating in place of our Aria 3601's couch and they really make a difference and are a great upgrade.

I also worked with the Central Control company to upgrade the firmware to the latest version, that fixed an AC issue that stopped the AC's from turning off on their own.

Any modification to add an outdoor outlet? Never thought to look prior but there is none outside. There is only the 1 in the TV compartment and 1 in the cargo. I wish there was on just on the outside.
