mud flap

You should call Thor directly. They have been great about just sending parts to me that were missing when we purchased ours (remotes, vent cover, etc.) It is possible that they have discontinued the flap, but I really doubt it. Sometimes they do make changes mid year. I looked at a late 2018 that had the new for 2019 outside TV mount.

mud flap

Just looked at pictures of a couple of 2019's for sale on RVtrader. They both had the mud flaps in the storage compartments.

Everything went along perfect until our arrival back in Auburn, Wa. where the bedroom slide acted up. One side (motor) working, the other not. We were close to home, so rather than stay overnight at the class reunion, we drove it home. Thankful that it didn't happen on our 5 week tour. We have a mobile mechanic and carry both types(two of each) with us. We paid out of pocket, figuring when we have a problem, we would just send the old ones in on warranty and receive the new ones to replace the ones we had. This was we do not get held up, except a mechanic. (we have not had a problem finding a mobile mechanic anywhere we have gone)

3401 Aria 2017

We had no intention of buying a RV, went shopping with our son for his coach. We are retired with two homes and several timeshares. Well, we ended up buying a coach. My hubster, the city boy, had never driven anything this big. I had one back in the early 80's, and have driven large trucks etc years ago. So....I am the driver.

Maiden voyage- the dealership (LaMesa RV in Mesa) put us behind by not having the coach ready after having 2 months to get it ready. The air conditioning was not working when I test drove it. I told them this, it was 115 F degrees. As we are about to board our flight to Phx. with our two dogs to take ownership of our coach, LaMesa calls and says, not sure you should come, the air conditioning is not working and it needs to go to Freightliner. They are backed up with other coaches. After, much talk.....we flew in. We have a house in Scottsdale, where I had all the new goodies sent for my coach to outfit it. LaMesa held us up for 5 days.....so no staying on site in our coach to try anything. They handed us the keys, and waved! Off we went to get the hitch, now delayed, but, they were able to change the appt. We took delivery of our new Jeep Wrangler while there as well (we are all in people) Hitch installed, Jeep hooked, dogs in car seats ......we are off...we did drag the Jeep a short distance learning the gear box. I white knuckled our way to Palm Desert on the 10, with Freightliners passing me. Got there, however, didn't know how to turn on the headlights, so, went in the park ...a little dark. Realize, it is 115 in July 2017, so we didn't notice that the water was not getting hot. We realized in Santa Barbara and begged ...finally got someone to fix it in Paso Robles....it had NEVER been hooked up. four days later leaving the Wine Country RV, Paso Robles (love) our large slide would not come in.....everyone in the park was giving advise and I was on with Thor. We tried everything...nothing worked. Hubster begged to let us stay, we couldn't move. Next morning, a guy comes, has me get on the panel and do a few short burst back and forth (about 4) then, push and do NOT let up, it came in...except about a inch in front. We can leave. We left and did not use that slide the remainder of the way home (doable) Mercer Island, Wa. Once we pulled out, the horn went off on its own, didn't stop, the hubster was ready to park it, put the dogs and our personal belongings in the Jeep and leave it. I did NOT pull over, and told him "look straight ahead, do not make eye contact and it will wear itself out"! It did! Since then, we had a leak under the bathroom sink(caught right away) We have commuted from MI to Scottsdale 3 times, also did a 5 week loop to Mt Rushmore and several shorter trips.....no real problems. At the end of the loop(very close to home) the bedroom slide motor went out, we had replaced. ( we purchased both types of motors used in our coach and carry them with us) we then just send the bad ones in and our warranty covers, so they send two back.

We love our layout in 3401 and would not change ....except- we want duel axle (safer) and a road quiet coach. We are scared every time we use the slides.

Next week, I am scheduled to drive a Newmar Mountainaire 40 foot. I will see if it is easier to drive and also how quiet it is. We will be on our way to Scottsdale. If we decide to go with it, we will order exactly what we want including jazzy outside colors. So, our coach may be up for sale....

We purchased a 2019 Thor Aria 3901 in June. We love it, a few minor problems but an awesome coach.

Good luck.
We loved the design too. All slides had major issues, along with electrical, plumbing, appliances, water leaks, heat pumps, A/C, and furnace. Temp sensors not calibrated. Dash AC broke, resulting in a 40’ ac hose replaced between compressor and condenser. The front bays flood when driving in the slightest road moisture. Levelers quit in up position. Recliners would extend and not retract. Over the door awning LED’s quit and when the awning is out, it won’t retract. I can go in, honestly, but I’m getting upset again.

2019 Thor Aria 3601 Air conditioner problems

My husband and I just came back from a week of camping at Daddy Joe's in Tabor City, NC. While coming up the road, we heard a loud pop on driver's side and realized our dash a/c was not cooling. When we pulled over, my husband said he thought he smelled freon. It actually sounded like we blew a tire. We were pulling a tandem tow dolly with our golf cart and Mini Cooper loaded and when we got home, there was a piece of an aluminum housing laying on our golf cart floor board. Has anyone else had a problem with the dash a/c? Our coach units are still working fine. I love this motorhome as our other was a 2016 ACE 29.3, but I hope this is not a sign of coming problems. Thor called me and said we have a Freightliner recall something to do with ? brake light and turn signals not working, so I guess we will try to kill 2 birds with one stone. I hate having to leave our coach at a dealer as we have had bad experiences in the past.

My dash A/C quit cooling. Turned out the ac hose that runs from the front condenser to the back compressor had a leak. That hose is 40 ft. long. Over $2,000 of repairs. The hits just keep coming. I think I got the Aria prototype.

Was the ac repair not covered under warranty? We just bought this Aria on May 9, 2019.

I was out of warranty by 3 months. Bought the extended warranty, but they don’t cover hoses.

After reading several posts on this forum, we decided to cancel our EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN. This is just another way of Camping World making a killing off their products. Upon further analysis, we realized that the extended service plan covered hardly anything. I am supposed to have $6995.00 refunded by the end of the month. I have already contacted Corporate and have been assured that this matter will be resolved....We are taking our Aria in this Thursday morning to the Freightliner dealer in Statesville, NC for a recall on the tail lights and fixing the dash a/c. I appreciate your input.

Camping World Warranty, I don’t have that much money. They are way higher than other companies. We paid $5000 and got an excellent coverage policy, zero deductible, and even a extended tire warranty. Im glad I got mine, but their are exclusions. I worked for a short time as a GM Service Advisor and I got very familiar with the various types and games and fees associated with ext warranties. It’s all over the board. Some very good, some not worth the paper they’re written. I got info from Camping World about their warranty and I immediately found their pricing to be way out of the park.

Carol H when did you buy your Aria from Camping World? I am just curious we bought ours the end of March and would like to know if we can get a refund as well? I am beginning to deduct that the warranty is not valuable. We love the coach but the verdict is out on CW.

I would never buy any type of RV from CW. There are too many reports and reviews from buyers and the poor folks that request service. The stories are awful. Time for an Appt is months out, then they keep it for weeks, then when you get it back, the comments get worse.
I bought my Aria from MotorHome Specialists in Alvarado Texas. We loved the design of the 3901. We ordered one and it took about 3 months to get it. I can’t think of anything that has not been broken, or need of replacement or repair. It took about a year and a half to get 80% of the faulty parts and poor quality workmanship reworked. It’s better now but still have issues with GFI constantly tripping. Haven’t found anyone that can diagnose and repair in the RV business. Thor is only customer service in name. Most of the reps are unconcerned and just don’t want to be bothered. I am committed to making this one work, but I would never recommend Thor products to anyone. I wish you the best of luck with your Thor Aria. I would never feel comfortable selling this unit to another person,
