Aria Blank Tank Valve
Just got our 2022 Aria 4000. Still drinking from the fire hose trying to learn everything.
Successfully flushed the black and grey tanks twice now. I have noticed that the valve is very low. I haven’t yet attempted to put the sidewinder under the sewer hose but it’s so low I don’t even know if it will fit. Anybody else have this issue. I guess I could fill the airbags and get some height but still don’t know it it will help much.
I know some states and parks require you have your sewer hose up off the ground. I guess I could put it out in front of the coach but then it would have to go up hill at least for a short distance.
Any thoughts.

I have never encountered a requirement to keep my hose off the ground so I wouldn’t worry about that, personally.

Aria Owners
Hi everybody
Question for you - is your black tank valve high enough to fit a sidewinder under it? We just got our coach and it seems extremely low. I don’t think it is even possible to fit under the coach. Comments?

I do not know what a sidewinder is but yes, when our Aria is lowered and depending on the site, I sometimes have to mix and match sewer hoses and connectors to be able to connect to sewer in a campsite.
I have never not been able to do so, however.

I tossed the sidewinder. It is a PINA to use, store and not tear. It will not fit under our Aria unless we start halfway. We ended up with a cradle style.

Either just leave it on the ground or a Lippert “Flow Down” . We threw out our Sidewinder.

Yes, the coach is low. I use the extendable cradle type, stretch it out and choose the cradle portion that matches to the sewer connection and the higher end just beside the coach. The hose comes out the bottom of the pan and loops up forming a P trap. Yes, there are places and states that require the hose to be off the ground.
A friend of mine cut a hole in the side of the pan to pass the hose out. The Y connector rotates so the hose feeds without bending.

We have this works well. We also converted to the Lippert cam lock system. Way easier than the bayonet. Especially when cold and rainy.

We have had a few out here in Ca, Or and Wa. I check the rules before packing and if not required we leave it at home.

We can fit the sidewinder under our stinky slinky, but normal I don't use it.
Only problem we have encountered is the other end of the hose being connected at a higher elevation than the RV end. Makes for interest developments.
