TV Voltage/Outside DVD

Does anyone know if the Continu-us model tv's are meant to run on 110V only?

In our 2015 Citation Sprinter we've got a Jensen in the bedroom that works on 12v but neither of the two Continu-us TV's work unless connected to shore/generator power. Checked breakers and fuses in the inverter, no sign of a problem there.

Also I can't get the outside TV to display a DVD. All three switch buttons are set to DVD. The two interior TVs work fine but the outside one continues to display over-the-air broadcasts. Any thoughts?

I can't comment on why no DVD... sounds like a switch box or connection issue.

Re. the power source, can you look at the back of the TV to see how it's plugged in? The 120VAC would be plugged in like a normal household connection. On my 12VDC TV, the power feed comes in through small gage wire with a little glass in-line fuse....through a small 12 volt round plug connection into the tV.

We have a Jensen TV that works on 12V in our coach that I was wanting to replace. As of yet, I have found no other TVs that work on 12V (although I have not done an exhaustive search). Some flat screen TVs have a DC input, but they are a weird voltage, 17VDC or something like that. Most TVs though only work on AC.

Sounds like the switch box may have been bypassed for your outside TV.

Thanks all. I'll check the switch box connections. The Continu-us tv's are plugged in to 110 outlets but hard mounted so I'll have to remove to see if there are additional wires. I think I'll pick up an inverter for dry-camping.
