We only go about 400 miles per say depending on road conditions. A little more if only on interstate freeways. My hubby does most of the driving, but I help out at times. We own a 24.5 Thor Vegas. We plan out camping spots ahead of time and average using 400 miles as our gauge. Hope this helps, have fun on your trip.

Miles per Day?
Most here seem to be like me. I like to average around 350 miles per day. With stopping for fuel, snack fast food and a few breaks for the dogs ( which I try to do all in the same stops) makes for me about a 6-8 hour day on the road and gets me to a camping area before dark.
I have road warriored when necessary like Chicago to Texarkana or Sioux Falls 780/600 miles respectively. I don't recommend it but it can be done when the family need arises like when you need to attend a funeral. You will be wiped out for the following day after pushing that hard.
I have learned that anything over 350 miles is no longer enjoyable and tends to turn into work. I like to RV for pleasure so I avoid it becoming work. In the end the miles per day you travel will fall within your personal comfort zone as well as be influenced by your Dear Wife who insists on stopping to see the worlds biggest ball of yarn that's "only 78 miles off course".
Enjoy your travels my friend and keep it between the lines.

Sometimes it isn't the DW's idea to stop at the largest ball of twine, Punxsutawney, the Corn Palace, or any other site mentioned on Roadside America. In our case its usually me that wants to stop at Carhenge, or the Route 66 Museum, or any one of a number of Muffler Men.

I don't calculate miles but rather time. I mapquest our route and see how far our next stop would be and plan our route that way. Six hours is about my comfort level. We just came back from a 2500 mile trip six hours at a time. We usually arrive at our campsite around 2pm which gives plenty of time to setup and relax. We'll stay between 2 and four days and then off again. We use the Garmin 770 lmts and it hasn't failed us yet.

I usually hit the road by 8 am
and pull into campground around
4 pm. Gives time to settle in and
enjoy evening. 200 to 300 is Max.

Completed two consecutive 600 mile days recently (about 12 hours each day from Virginia Beach to Branson Missouri). Pretty tired from the drive. Will try to limit to no more than 450 miles per day in the future.

We're still working out the best scenario for us and the 3 Border Collies. They like to stop every 2-3 hours(just cuz), and we like to make camp before 4, so...we usually end up with an 8-10 hour day in the Effing Bus. Its not the mileage with us.

In our fivers and gas MH we would always stay between 250 and 350 miles a day. There could have been a day or two in years past when we needed to do close to 400 but not very often.
With our current coach we make our distances between 300 and 600 per day now. We stop every 2 - 2.5 hours for breaks.

Depends on the trip - and the timeframe available... Still doing the 4 letter WORK word - so burning days traveling counts.
Done MI to FL in 2 days (just over 1000 miles) multiple times - in RV, car, rented trucks. But that is pushing it.
If I had the time, 300-400 a day is probably where I'd land - but time would matter too. Years ago on family trip with my sister and I as new drivers we did 2 hours driving, 2 hours in passenger seat, 4 hours in back on a straight 24 hour drive home. She drove about 20 miles in her 2 hours in DC traffic. oops.

Ha ha. Last week driving the RV into DC I came in at 9:30 at night and out at 5:30 in the morning. 9:30 PM on the beltway was still no fun. I think I found my limit in a day; did 685 home last week I hope to never better that

If we are trying to make distance and still be comfortable we make 350 miles in a day. If we are serious about progress we make 500 but it makes for a long day. Remember that food and gas stops take longer with an RV due to parking issues, and you need extra time at stops to check the RV and your toad.
