We're in with the 200-300 miles per day crowd if just traveling. Will push it a little more if there's a particular destination we want to reach. We avoid interstates whenever we can, rarely exceed 60 mph and enjoy the back roads and scenery.

We like the idea of 300 miles or 3:00 pm whichever comes first. We’ll push that a bit on long trips. We’re planning a 4 week trip to Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Yellowstone, Badlands and Mt. Rushmore from St. Louis late this summer and will try for 400 - 500 miles on some days.

I usually do between 400 and 500 miles per day. Not always the same. It just depends on weather and traffic and stuff like that

Road Warrior?

If you have a second driver, then 500 miles isn't too hard. That generally means 8 hours of road time, so if rest stops, meals, and fueling take over 2 hours, you can't make 500 miles in a ten hour day.

We just returned from 5000 miles cross country. The first day we did 500 miles, and never did that much again. We agreed on 300 miles a day as a limit. We figured out that we needed a break every 2 hours. We often used the break to do our sight seeing. I think it depends on your goals, age, time limit, etc.

we will usually drive about 500 miles/day. works out pretty good with time to get out and stretch the legs and take a break.

went there in May from Western NC in 24 Thor class c. We went between4.5 to6.5 hours a day. Go by Camping Worlds trip planner not map quest or orthres. If you do bout 45 minutes to their time.

Whatever works for you is right. But with all respect I think you might be missing out on some of the very best benefits of owning an RV! Moving at a pace that permits you to stop and adjust your schedule as you go is stress free and wonderful. We recently were running across Kansas and saw a sign for the Eisenhower library and home. Thought we might spend an hour there but stayed three. Such an interesting man. We changed where we spent the night and then went on with our trip.

On a long trip with deadlines, 8 hours behind the wheel. Without deadlines, we work with what we want to see.

Hi Axis Earl, where did you end up putting your Sirius SM antenna? We have a Vegas 25.2 and have antenna inside lower front right cab window. We tend to lose connection sometimes especially if we're traveling north.

Since the satellite is in the Southern sky: this has always been a problem.
If you can get it up on an unobstructed portion of the roof:

I will drive about 6 hours stop to rest so take about 8 hours total. Depending on how far we're going we will boondock for at least 8 hours before heading out.

Actually Sirius satellites used to not be geosynchronous--they had three low earth orbit ones that would transfer between them. At any given time two of them would be over North America (they would go as high North over Canada and Alaska).

These days both Sirius and XM use geosync satellites, however. (Although I think the Sirius constellation is still up there, not sure if its retired or not as I no longer work there LOL.)

My wife has said for many years, when we retire she wants to see all the Historic Markers across the country. I bought her the book that has all of them in it. She said...no go. I'll probably average 50 miles a day.

We'll probably get killed the first week since most of them are roadside in 55MPH or faster highways!
