I received a flyer in the mail. Was going to call but had a chance to take the MH to a campground. When I get back on Monday I will send you the info.

Why?
That's the most important part.
If you're not going to tell us the terms you now have and the reason you might as well open the yellow pages and start calling random banks.
At least they'll be local.

Not trying to be rude but instead of refinancing can you make an extra $100. payment maybe more to get it paid off quickly instead of giving the bank interest money every month.

We have ours through Bank of The West. We then re-financed with them, and saved over 2% on the interest rate.

I got an e-mail Good Sams as well about MH refinancing.
My current rate is 5.49%. They are offering 4.49% for similar loan amount and term. When I used their calculator to determine the payment, it was only a few dollars less ($6) than my current payment.... and that was with using $5000 less than my current balance.
I suspect they have some hefty refinancing fees.
I was already adding a few extra dollars to each payment so I may just increase it and that will have the same effect as a lower APR in terms of paying less interest... and paying it off sooner.

I’m in similar situation
I have a lower balance at 4.99 thru BofA.
Good SAMs is quoting me a savings of 60 basis points, but the decrease in payment is negligible.
So, I agree with you and others...throw extra towards the principle each month.
By the way...closing on a home Re-fi at 2.99% this week. I hit the market just right.
And, in other news...still waiting on the stimulus/aid deposit.

Well how about that, who knew? Learn something new everyday.
So I guess the rules of using a feature this powerful is that we notify everyone that we have implemented it?

I don't.
I did here due to the sparsity of return answers about such a life changing action and the disregard for the questions asked and the answers given by those people trying to address the initial sparse question.
A wake up call, I hope, so the offender might participate, actuate, manipulate, masticate, extrapolate, communicate and regard the time spent by those members trying to honor their request.
No other reason.

Bob,
Can you give some more details on the rates and terms? Are there fees to refinance?
I also have my loan through Bank of the West. My rate is 5.74%. Is your new rate significantly lower than this? It doesn't seem like they'd have any incentive to refinance at a lower rate unless they charge some fees. Or maybe they just want to keep you from refinancing with someone else.
I do pay some extra principal every month -- trying to keep from being upside down as it depreciates. But it would be great if I could also have a lower interest rate.
You can reply privately if you prefer. Thanks.
