2020 Thor Venetian B42

Hey gang - new to Thor. Just bought a Venetian B42. Can anyone tell me where the keypad for the keyless entry system is? Expecting it doesn't have one, but the paperwork states that it does, so I thought I'd check here to see if anyone has experience.

Thanks for any help,
cclaffey

If it has one like my Tuscany then it is on the lower part of the grab bar

Enjoy, very nice coach

I was hoping it would have it...but it doesn't. The paperwork expressed that it did but I cannot find a picture of one anywhere. I'm hoping they've made improvements over the past couple years...lots of people seemingly have quality control issues. Really don't want to deal with a bunch of that!

Best,

It's very likely it's an option you didn't purchase.
A keypad would be so obvious you could find it with your eyes closed(or on a dark night while trying to feel your way to get inside your rv)

My Ford owners manual has a dozen things in it I don't have.

Totally agree, must be an option. It has a keyless entry but no pad...bummer. I hate that I have to carry a key fob with now. Ah well, I couldn't find a coach more suitable for us and our 5 kids. I tried to retrofit an Entegra Aspire 44R 100 different ways, but just could not make it work. Neither Newmar or Entegra have the drop down bunk. That made all the difference in the world.
On that note, I head to NIRVC in PHX next week to pick this up. If anyone knows a better coach for a family of 7, I'm all ears

Starting in 2017 late and 2018 the keyless entry pad is to the left of the grab bar. The changed to a different design. Not sure if the new grab bar lights but surely it does

The new key pad lets you turn on patio lights and so forth as well as the door and compartment locks

Truly a very nice feature, we use the keyless entry key pad every time we lock and unlock so would hate to be without it

We have a Tuscany 42GX which is no longer available

It has the old style with the key pad built into the grab handle

Let us know how you like it. I have 5 kids myself and am looking at that model in a year or two.

1st Trip

Drove the new 2020 Venetian B42 home from NIRVC Phoenix this weekend. First off huge shout out to Cowboy, Brad, Ken, Kohlby, and Pat. They are an awesome bunch over there. I'd only recommend buying an RV from them!!

Love the new coach. Atlas ride system is great. All the way around it's exactly what our family needs. I have a lot of figuring things out to do. We last minute had to swap the big Garmin out and I now have a service need for it as we lost some minor functionalities. If anyone knows how to get the two front TVs sound working and the one by the bunk to turn on, that'd be helpful. The front one is tied to the ignition so you cant watch while driving. I feel like there is an obvious step I'm missing to make it know the RV is stationary.

Anyhow, super excited about the RV, ask any questions. I'll be focused on getting to know it for the next bunch of days.
Cheers,
cclaffey

Hi,

I have a B42 also and no keypad, but as you likely already know it has a remote lock on the key fob.

Enjoy!

Roland.
