Slide weight limits

Hello all. I have a Thor Freedom Elite 29FE and I am thinking about replacing the dinette with a reclining love seat. The slide that it is on also has the kitchen on it. Do you think that the slide mechanism would be OK with the added weight of the love seat?? I'm thinking about 150 lbs. I have no idea what the current dinette weighs. Thanks if anyone has any insight.

I'm no engineer...
But if it's only 150 poun difference: that's only the weight of one properly-sized person. (I'm NOT one of those! )
Run your slide a few times, and get a feel for what things sound like.
If you make the change: let us know if it sounds as if those motors are working harder.
(I doubt that they will be...)
Good luck!

We replaced the couch in our Axis with a powered recliner couch--I'm sure the new couch is more than 150 lbs heavier than the old one. So far no issues with the slide.

Think I'm going to re-weigh the coach this spring just to see how much heavier we are now.

You could try running your slide with someone sitting in the dinette and see if it seems to distress the system any. Just a wild guess here but I’m thinking you’ll be fine. The same mechanism seems to be used on big and small slides.
