Axis/Vegas website revisions?

While checking website to see if Axis and Vegas motorhomes had been updated to 2021 model year, I noticed a lot of new lines in specifications that I don’t recall seeing before. Or that make much sense to me.

Does anyone remember any previous references (left blank) to Chevy or diesel? Is this new?

It looks like a work in progress, but maybe it’s been like that for some time and I just didn’t notice. Other than to make it easier to compare to other motorhome options, I don’t know why all the extra lines of information unless Chevy will be part of the future.

...looks to me like this is pulled from a 'template' where other non-related lines, like DEF, or GARAGE SIZE, don't apply to these coaches... I highly doubt any of those, including the term 'CHEVY' is ever going to apply. Does CHEVY do ANYTHING in the RV industry??

Yes, Chevy supplies Cutaway chassis to RV manufacturers including Thor. However, I don’t recall them having a stripped chassis for motorhomes, although Chevy has supplied stripped chassis for commercial step vans in the past. I don’t know if they still do.

I agree it looks like a template to make comparison simpler, but I don’t recall that format before.

right, but referring to the OP's initial question of 'why' Chevy was included on a CLASS A motorhome was what the reference was to...there is no 'chevy' motorhome, although Chevy may provide chassis' for the Class C and/or Class B types.

Ford is IT

No. Nothing but Fords for Class A gassers. The only exception I can think of was the stripped chassis MB Sprinter and the Winnebago Via. Even it went by the wayside.

That looks to me like they pull all the info out of a database and fill out the page on the fly (that way they can use the same pages for all motorhomes and just fill in the appropriate data for the brand). Its possible someone updated the templates they use.

Perhaps they are consolidating all the pages to use the same templates.

Chevy supplies chassis for Class Cs.
Axis/Vegas are built on Class C Chassis

Could it be Thor will be building Axis/Vegas on Chevy Chassis? Possibly.
Could it be that someone is trying to make the Class C info template work for the Axis/Vegas specs? Possibly.

Yeah, the Chateau Class C spec sheet also seems changed/revised and a work in progress. It may be in preparation for 2021 model year specs.

Yep. Sure looks that way to me.
Also, it looks like they are going back to the 1 ton E-350 chassis for the 24.1 in 2021.

Makes me glad that I got the 2019 Axis 24.1 when I did; E-450.

Axis/Vegas

Whoa. This is getting funny. The Axis-Vegas is not a Class C. It is called according to the manufacturer a stripped E350/450 chassis which is not a Class C. A Class C has the van front end clip. Get it now? That makes it a Class A because it does not have the van front end. Why are we trying to rewrite now? GM has its own problems right now and I am pretty sure that they are not going to get into the stripped chassis area for a small Class A like the Axis/Vegas.

I'm a newbie here and was just curious; who in this thread was claiming that the Axis/Vegas was a Class C?

Vegas/Axis is built on an E350/450 “stripped” chassis.
An E350/450 is a Class C (standard with cab) chassis.

E350. OR E450. No such thing as a E350/450. There two distinct models.

Thank you Ted. I was posing the question; since some were reading this thread, becoming entertained by the supposedly uninformed responses to the original question; taking this post off the rails. I am interested in the way the Thor template for Axis/Vegas is being revised; potentially re-written; to possibly include a Chevy chassis. So, when I read Chance's intro to this thread; became involved in the idea; being a former lifetime Chevy guy. Love the Ford, BTW; just don't tell the fellas around the campfire.
