We had that happen once. There's a reset button and that fixes it. I forget where. I think it's on the top. Just a little hole you poke and it flipped back so the screen was straight.

The corresponding camera shot are also reversed. I sent an email to Axxera and have not heard from them. I'll post when I find and answer. If anyone else has had this please yell.

That comes from playing with the controls and changing a setting. I believe the setting is called camera mirror. It can be changed in the setup menu.

Been there, done that and then had to figure out how to undo it. I did the same thing on my camera on the previous coach. My wife says I'll never learn. On my last coach she changed it over to Chinese language while we were driving one night. She hasn't figured out how to do that to me on this unit; yet.

If you can find this interface box, you change how the image is display. In the Vegas/Axis, it is located under the cover that is behind the instrument panel.

For the mirror image (reverse text) being displayed on the screen.

Go into settings and select "Video" Once in Video turn the "Camera Mirror" off. The settings icon is the wheel on the lower right of the main menu screen.

I just complete the change to mirror and off again on my unit.

Thanks Bruce and dstankov,

Because using the menu seemed easier, I tried it first and it worked! My cameras now have the proper view.

I have no idea how it changed but I now know how to fix it if it happens again.

I'll look t mine later today. But, firs try one of the following:

1. hold the MODE button for a few seconds and see if this makes it change

2. press the camera button from the main screen and see if there is a selection

3. check the manual located in post 23 above.

I'm gonna be upgrading my system soon. The coach only came with a rear camera, and I did buy two nice side-view cameras that I plan on installing sometime this year.

I really don't want the side-view cameras coupled to the turn signals though. I plan on putting in a 4-way switch (i.e. joystick) on the driver's side door so that I can control the cameras.

I really want the cameras to be controlled independently of the turn signals and reverse gear, as I might want to look to the right or left without having to turn on the turn signal.

So, I am planning on the following functions:

UP (forward switch) - return display to normal (use the reverse wire).
LEFT (left camera)
RIGHT (right camera)
DN (back camera)

I do have one of these on order, but it will be a couple of weeks before it ships. I am not sure if I can modify it for my needs or not.

CSP - SecurView? SV-900.CSB

If not, out comes the Arduino parts box, as this would be a very simple project.

And this is the switch I want to use:

And I also have one of these on order:

I am thinking I can put the switch on top of this mount and attach it to the side of the door panel.

Also, I did find that for my coach, the interior paint color is called "Medium Pebble", sort of a mid-tan. Color Bond has an exact matching paint for it, which is what I will paint the box if I use it.

Or I will make my own box. I once made this box out of epoxy/fiberglass for mounting a VHF radio on one of my boats:

Lot of work involved in such boxes, but it can be done.

I am glad the weather is turning nicer as my "creative" personality needs to go outside and play.

What did you buy for cameras. I am thinking of adding side view cameras to my toad.

These:

CSP - SecurView? SV-6919.IR

They are a bit on the large side, but they do have low level capability.

One hint, they are marketed in left and right versions. But it's really the same camera as you can rotate the camera for the left or right side. Since the pricing and availability varies significantly, you might have trouble finding the best price for both sides - so just order two of the cheapest side you can find.

Bruce,
My wife and I just bought a 2016 Ace 30.2. We are enjoying it. We have been troubled by not being able to have the rear camera displayed on the dash monitor while listening to the radio. We thought we would have to replace the radio. But, too our delight, we read your posts on this issue. We tried your simple solution. Bingo! It worked! Thank you. Thank you.

I thought I read about someone who contacted them & found out about a future software update or fix, but of course, I can't find that post now.

This is about the problem of not being able to listen to the radio with the rear camera on while driving down the road.
I did see the post about wiring another camera display, but I don't want to go that route.

So if anyone has a valid email address for Axxera, would really appreciate it. Thanks.
With an Iphone, you can listen to Pandora or Iheart radio through bluetooth, and control the volume with your phone, with camera on. Don't know about other phones.

My unit does not turn on at all. Does anyone know where the fuse is located? I tried to pull out the head unit but I'm not sure how to. Any help is appreciated.

You should have a couple of clips or bars that are used to remove the head unit from the coach. Mine came in a clear plastic bag with screws and cables and that bag was inside the Thor black bag in the coach.

Here is the manual for the radio so hopefully that helps.

Thanks. Finally got it removed and found the fuse. It looks fine so I guess the whole unit is dead. Very disappointed to have a head unit that only lasted about 40 hours. Of course the dealer does not have one in stock so they have to order.

During my shakedown cruise my radio would intermittently shut down and the camera would stop working. I could wait a moment and then hit the power button and it would start working again.

After the shakedown I removed the top of my dash and found numerous loose wires and cables. I also found that the rear support pin on the radio was not in the bracket correctly so the rear of the radio would just bounce around. I zip tied the wires and cables, removed and reinstalled the head unit so the support pin was in the bracket and I also slid a piece of 3/4 inch plywood under the rear of the unit to add additional support.

While knocking on my wooden desk, I will say I haven't had any issues since.

Does any have the update files for the AV614BH?

One of the two listed on the website will not unzip.

Thanks

Swapped out the Axxera for a Kenwood DNX570TR this past weekend and could not be happier. It was a simple install with significant improvement in audio quality.

I can adjust the volume while in camera mode!!!

Plus, the Kenwood comes with the Garmin RV/Truck navigation so, looking forward to playing with that more.
