Entry Door Light
2017 Hurricane 29M. Entry door light has worked as I thought it should but it just stopped turning off when the switch is activated. It turned off much later or not at all. Could it be on a timer or does it sound like a faulty switch?

Faulty switch or most likely loose connection.
If you want to fix it yourself the cup holder on the cabinet above the switch comes out. You can then put your hand in to push the switch out and look at the wires and connection.
Or have the dealer fix it.

Do you have rapid camp? If you turn it on with it, you have to turn it off with the remote.

Thanks.
Turns out to be operator error with the use of Rapid Camp. If turned on with RC, it must be turned off with RC.

My Hurricane works the same way. First time I used Rapid Camp to turn the outside light on, the inside switch wouldn't turn it off. Used the Rapid Camp to turn off the light and then the inside switch would work.

"Rapid Camp" is kind of fun... but it sure can mess you up at the oddest times.
I was all "flummoxed-up" with the generator in my rig; until I remembered how I started it!

Used rapid camp a couple times and then put it away. Found i didnt need it. Sorry for my bad suggestion. Rapid camp is more problems then what its worth.

Gimme a good old fashioned switch, granted I like the remote start on my truck, but some technology is more work than it's worth. Now if I were 10-12 years old I could use it & explain it to my grandparents like my grandkids do.

I was playing with the Rapid Camp and had turned on the outside light not knowing it during the day. Went out of the RV later and noticed the light on. Tried the switch and it wouldn't turn off. Thought the switch was faulty, took it apart and nothing. Started tracing the wire back and noticed the wire was joined by another wire parallel to it, with a fuse in the line. Pulled the fuse still the light on. Then cut the other wire and the light went off. Taped everything up and the light would work with the switch. Wondered to my self why would they wire it like that. Made no sense to me.
Later reading on the forums noticed that if you turn it on with the Rapid Camp you have to turn it off. Took the switch out again, then joined the wire I had cut and turned the light off with the Rapid Camp. Good thing I am retired.
