First Cross Country Trip

Hello! We have a Thor Aria and are planning to go across the country for the first time from Oregon to Florida. We're doing it in about 8 days and have our route and stops planned. Any tips in general on what to expect, take, be prepared for? We're doing all the usual things for a longer trip (been RVing for 10 years) plus making sure we have oil, transmission fluid, etc... Towing our F150 as well.

Welcome to the forum.

Make sure you know what COVID restrictions are in play in areas that you will be passing through. Some states are once again starting to increase restrictions.

I think you'll find that traveling is no different now than it's ever been - just go. There's no 'police' at the state lines stopping anyone. Go.

To me, Oregon to Florida in 8 days would be a brutal trip. That's a lot of time on your butt looking out the windshield dealing with wind, rain, traffic and the people that should not have driver's licenses. It also does not give you much time to see all the wonderful things along the way. The wife and I learned on our first long trip that driving every day sucked the joy out of it. Sure we got across the country in a week, but were miserable and had missed so many things. We now drive a day, spend two nights, then repeat until we get to our destination. Some times we stay longer if an area is full of things to see or do.
This reduced our stresses and increased our entertainment/sight seeing opportunities.
