Battery Levels - House and Chassis

Should the battery levels be the same on both the house and the chassis batteries? If the engine in running they are the same. If I'm on the generator or shore power the house batteries will charge but the chassis battery doesn't seem to be charging. So the house is at 13.7 and the chassis is at 12.7. Is this normal?

Your voltages are probably perfectly normal. Some RVs do not charge the chassis batteries while the house batteries are being charged by the converter.

Welcome to the forum. Make sure you keep the water levels up if they are the flooded lead acid batteries. If one cell goes dry, the entire battery will fail.

David is right: Sprinter chassis based RVs won't "back-fill" the chassis battery from shorepower. Just keep it on it's own battery maintainer...

I too use a solar battery tender since the facility where it is stored does not have power to plug into while parked. My local MB dealer told me that it was necessary and can be a PITA every time to connect.

We have a 2019 Thor Hurricane 34J and it has two AGM House Batteries and one AGM Chasis battery. Charging is controlled by a BIM 160 Battery Isolation Manager. this ia an automatic charge controller.this is why you will see different battery voltages.
