Is this because of the BCC recall?
Just noticed that on my disconnect switches, the chassis light is always green, and the house light seems to be always yellow. I bring this up, as today the chassis battery was completely dead, even though I've had the RV hooked to shore power.

The lights usually mean that there is 12 volts present. It is not an indication of the switch being on or off.

On my Tuscany the red pilot indicator is on when the generator is running and the same for the 4 way water pump switches
Regarding the house battery switch it is amber (pilot) and on when chassis batteries are on
Then my house battery switch is momentary so you switch it on or off
So batteries can be off and pilot on

Ah, ok. I just assumed the house light would be green. I guess because of the BCC recall, the chassis light does not turn off because there is no longer a chassis disconnect?

Don't know about your unit at all, maybe someone else can come in

What is this BCC recall you speak of?

I believe Thor Class B’s (and my Winnebago too) are not set up so shore power/generator charges the chassis battery - only engine alternator charges both house and chassis. My solar panels keep the house batteries at “full “ charge, but my Winnebago Travato chassis battery slowly degrades.

I wondered about this, but I think in the Ace, chassis battery should be charged while on shore power. Course, I could be wrong.

In my 2014 Vegas, the “box” that controlled switching to the the defrost mode failed leaving a dangerous situation while I was in Alaska. Thor was forced to recall and fix the problem, but the recall only was for 2015 and above models. Even though my 2014 had the same “box” as in the 2015, Thor refused to fix mine because the NTSB only told them that the had to fix 2015 and above
. Multiple letters to Thor and NTSB did nothing. Thor was content to leave me with a dangerous problem identified by NTSB.

It should be, that's the purpose of the BCC, BIRD, or BIM in later models.
My ACE is a 2016 model and uses the BIRD and only has a house battery disconnect (USE/STORE) switch with no LED indicator.
As Cavie said, generally the LED indicator is just an indication of power on the DC buss, not a disconnect status indicator.
On newer models the house light will be lite on SP even if the disconnect is open due to the converter energizing the DC buss. I'm not sure how your chassis side is wired and the source of the light.

You are right. Both Axis and Ace are set up with the BIRD/Trombetta (or similar) setup which charges all the batteries at the same time whether on shore power/generator or engine alternator. I was answering Cavie who indicated they had a Sprinter chassis.

Our 2014 Axis has a BCC and we haven't had an issue with it.
