Bigfoot Levelers ???

I am interested in the Bigfoot System for my Axis 25.2 and am wondering if it's worth an extra $1,500.00 for the auto system verses the manual system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t own BigFoot, instead have the HWH brand installed on my rig.
I do not have an auto leveling feature, instead it’s a manual joystick.

I was talked out of the auto system by the installer/dealer.

1) cost. Auto feature is more expensive

2) inconsistency in doing what it’s suppose to do. That is, invariably you will manually level even if you have the auto feature. My dealer told me that they do a lot of fixing/servicing the auto feature in the Lippert system (OEM in Thor). That there are issues making it work correctly 100% of the time

Bottomline...eliminate the frustration, go with the manual system. There’s less to go wrong and it takes abt the same effort to level your rig

Do you just use bubble levels to level it? Thanks a lot

I can tell you that Tiffin changed from the Equalizers, to the Bigfoot system for 2020...

(On the Wayfarer models...)

Yes
Even if you have the auto option, you will still install bubble indicators to confirm that the auto function is correct
Once the bubble indicators are permanently in place, you will use them as a basis for positioning every time you level

So, again, even if I had the auto feature I would still “tweak” manually to get my position perfect.

And if that’s the case...then why bother with the auto feature in the first place

Thanks for the help. I think for the price difference I will go with the manual.

I have the auto and never use it. My cell has an app with a level and I have a small level. I use both. Auto level never worked for me.

I found an app for my smartphone...
Mine normally gets to within about a half of a degree.

I also vote for the "Plantium" system (Manual level). Works great.

I have the bubble gauges on my the left side of my dash and on the wall next to the Drivers side cup holder. Works great in this location.

I will drive slowly in my camping spot (or parking lots) and find the most level position before I deploy levelers - then watch the bubbles until they are "Close enough". Job done. One of my best mods to date (But the hardest to install all by myself - so have them installed).

Our last coach had the Bigfoot levelers on it. It was the manual system. I loved it. It had a remote that I could take outside and actually watch the levelers come down if I wanted. Great system. I used a bubble level.

Our new coach has an auto feature. I never use it. Always do it in manual.

We had the Plantium system installed on our coach. Worth every penny. On our class C the control was mounted by the door. Set up is super simple, press the button to deploy, place a T level on the floor, when deployed adjust as needed. 5 min max.

Levelers

I have the Equalizer system with the auto mode feature. Love the system. Even in auto mode you still have to manually adjust sometimes. I bought an electronic 4 light leveler from camping world. It looks like a star with 4 legs. Each leg has a light indicator that when turned on either shows red for not level or green for level. Having the 4 legs shows forward cab, back area cab and left and right sides all at the same time. You know if you need to adjust one way or the other. Works great. It was around $40.00. I keep it inside a cabinet inside the coach. It is easier to see than the bubble levels plus nothing to screw into a wall.

I live in Michigan, only ninety minutes from the factory. When the guy who works for the manufacturer tells you that "you'll be just as happy with the Platinum" (at $1300 less!), I'll take his word for it! We just had ours put on three days ago. Haven't had much time to play with it yet, but it sure looks easy enough.

I didn’t install the auto level. Often after I push start to bring all four jacks down, we are level. Sometimes have to tweak it. I use a W0blr device.

Thumbs up Bigfoot Auto Levelers

We have the Auto system on our 25.2, it's fast, consistent and accurate. My wife and I love it. So far we've used it on a lot of different terrain, all with good results. There are the occasional times where you still have to place blocks under one or two of the legs. The system tells you where to put them. We've been using it for two years now. No complaints...
