cable connection ??

I am new to the Thor RV family. Can someone explain to me the cable connections inside the RV?? I think I read that to connect to the cable, you would need to turn off the amplified blue light next to one of the cable connection. I should be able to make my connection for cable on the outside connection

It seems like it would be straight forward but.... I have had my MH for just over a year and just got the cable to work.

You need to turn off your antenna amplifier. Mine was not easy to find others are. Then on each tv you need to change the source to cable. Then on each tv you need to do a search to find each channel available. Hope this makes sense.

In the 25.2 Vegas it's in the cabinet above the sink on the left side. Very small button switch.

The terrestrial antenna amplifier's power switch will be directly below the antenna (in most cases). Usually it is in a cabinet next or behind the main TV set.

Ours is in the left side cabinet of the fireplace as the TV is on a lift in the Challenger 37 FH.

The only time we tried to use cable was out at Estes Park, CO, but the cable signal was very snowy. Could not pick up digital over air signal due to the mountain range between us and Denver. Went and bought a better feed cable from radio shack, as our campground neighbor did, but still snowy. Left campground next day so, we did some in-town site seeing, and watched a DVD instead.

Cable Connections

I have found that sometimes the connections behind the TV come loose or just fall off and need to be reconnected, its a job for two people if you have to take the tv off the wall to get at the cables. I always try and get over the air channels before I hook up the cable, I just find the quality of picture much better.

What you have said is correct...
Plug into your outside cable connection, and shut off the inside booster.
(It only works with the "Rabbit Ears" up on your roof... )

You mention the "blue light". Some amplifiers have blue, some have green, some have red, and some - like mine - have no light at all.

Thanks. Can I use the cable input jack for my dish antenna I have outside? I tried but nothing happened. I think maybe I have to go to the tv menu and check cable input then do a channel search. Right?

If you are trying to use Thor MC's RG-6 coax from the outside to the interior you MUST replace the splitter the cable run. The current splitter cannot pas DC current which is need to power your dish antenna's low noise block down converter (LNB). The splitter is usually found in the cable run near the terrestrial antenna power switch.
