Slide moved on its own

Last night I was standing in the Magnitude bedroom and my wife was standing in the rear bath when we heard a noise and my wife the main slide was moving. It was being retracted by the motors but neither of us were operating the control panel. It stopped after a very short time. I verified the slide had moved by extending it back out the approximately 6 inches it had retracted. The only thing I could think of was that a spurious bluetooth transmission activated the control but that seems to be a rather low probability of occurring.

Has anyone ever experienced a similar situation?

I've never had that happen. Very strange. It must have been some kind of outside electric source.

Possibly a short in the switch wiring. Or a poltergeist...

You must have one of those "Smart Slides". It will automaticly deply when it "thinks" you need more room or it sense more than one person inside the RV.

I sure hope it dont happen when your driving.

There have been two additional occurrences of the slides moving on their own: one more for the full wall slide (total of 2) and one with the bedroom slide. Called Thor's after hours customer service number to report this condition, as I had only previously informed the dealer. I was told there may have been one other motorhome with a similar situation and I may need to get a new controller board. I was also told I should pull the 12v 30 amp fuse when not actually engaging the slides extension or retraction. That will be interesting considering the location of the fuse panel below the bed and the slide in.

You can also temporarily remove the two "white wires" from the controller under the slides in one of the compartments until you need to move them. This is one of the fears I have with so much crap going wireless these days. Did this happen with the MH in one place or has it happened with it parked in different places? Lots of folks over the years have had neighbor's remotes opening their door and changing channels on their TV's, etc. It could be receiving signals from another source.

That sounds like a wiring issue...

Or "Ghosts in the machine"!

This occurred in two different locales. I know which the controller for the main slide is located. I will need to locate where the bedroom slide's controller is. Thanks for the suggestion.

Could a loose connection to the controller, be intermittently losing and regaining contact: and have that be interpreted as a command to move the slide?

Thor sent an update for controller's software and the dealer flashed it to the board. No further problems encountered on this last trip.
