Miraculously, it landed on the side of the highway while motorists were swerving to miss the projectile. We stopped and checked all the doors including the outside kitchen, all of which are in the debonding process. We have an extended platinum warranty -we are talking with the Thor service center and will be reporting the incident to the Feds. Initially Thor denied that could happen but the code word Mishawaka and the threat of a lawsuit, now they are chatting with us. Thank you for posting on this because there is strength in numbers and knowledge is power.

Yes, I sent all my info to Thor on the $4600 I spent rebonding all my bay doors, but haven't heard back yet. Glad I saved all those receipts.

Gotta chime in. If not for the quip from Bob all those years ago, I wonder if this thread might have disappeared like the first one. It was like reality TV. The more crazy, the more attention it got.
So thanks Bob for the booster.
I for one , enjoy Bob's comments. They are usually spot on...if you look past the sarcasm.
But then again, I've never been a target for that wit.
I'll go back to the silent majority now and enjoy the show.
Oh, and very glad people are getting repairs because of this.

Just had it happen
Just had this happen to us. Sent pics to the Thor email I found as well as through their website contact form. Anyone have experience with how this process will work?

More than likely you will have to take it to a dealer to verify a defect before they’ll cover it under warranty. Any scrapes or scratches and it might be declined.

Even when there is an active recall for this?

I sent Thor all my receipts, pictures, etc. from the doors I had repaired as per the recall instructions. After several months, when they figured out I had everything they asked for, they then told me it is nor a Thor recall (it is) and I should contact the door supplier. I filed a formal complaint with the NHTSA.

Then on to our next destination, about 75 miles up the road, near Lebanon Tn on I-40W I hear a loud noise outside, look in the mirror and see, what I thought was the Battery Compartment Door flapping in the breeze. I pull off at the exit I was approaching, into a Home Depot parking lot. I get out and look, and find the Door Skin on The Battery Compartment Door had peeled back, the only thing keeping it from flying off, was the flange of the Door latch ! ! !
I bent the sheet metal back into place as best i could, and secured it with self drilling sheet metal screws, and proceeded on to, our destination. This model of Thor had a recall because of this exact issue. Go to oemdtc.com for recall RC000247 under NHTSA campaign # 21V845. I have the same problem in my Tuscany but this model was not included in the recall mandated by NHTSA.

We have had a door come off twice-same door-and have submitted a complaint to the NHTSA via form No. 2127-0008 complaint #s 11502280 and 11502418. If others complain there may be some action on their part as this is what happened with the other Thor models in 2021. These are the same doors made by the same manufacturer with the same two-sided tape. Go to: https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem#index and file a complaint.
