Coach alarm

We have a 2019 Thor Axis 24.1 & very new to RVing so need some help. We r all setup in the campground & tried to run the motor/heater a few minutes to take the chill off as we r running low on propane. But we get a loud alarm. Why?

Do you have automatic levelers? If so shut off the panel

Are you attempting to start the vehicle engine with the slide out?

If you have leveling jacks extended they absolutely will alarm when the engine is started. It’s a design feature to keep you from driving off with them down - which would do extensive damage. I don’t think you can avoid it except maybe by pulling the fuse for the jacks. And I’d not choose to do that if it were mine.

Low on Propane + Need for heat = Alarm

Solution = 120 volt electric space heater.

No such alarm on a Thor plant 750 coach. It is recommended to have the engine running to deploy the jack or retract the jacks. What causes an emergency retraction and the alarm is the release of the parking brake with the ignition on.

Really? Apologies for my error. My coach is SOB and it will alarm with the engine running and emergency retract with the brake release. I think my previous coach was the same. Thanks for the correction
