CruiseAmerica Corp

One of my relatives is looking for a used Class C RV. My RV repair shop suggested the website: CruiseAmerica.com . They rent RV’s and then sell them. The RV’s come with a one year warranty and are usually only 1 or 2 years old. Has anyone had experience with this company? They seem to have some nice, smaller RV’s, no slides, no frills but looks good for a newbie first timer trying to see what it’s all about.

We looked into them about 4-5 years ago. Their MH all had 90-110k miles so we opted to look elsewhere. Yes they give you a warranty, but most are well used. Jerry

It never hurts to take a look...
Just know what you're looking for, and don't let anyone push you off into another direction!

Would be very wary buying a rental. I have seen how some renters treat those rentals, and its often not pretty to watch. Also a pretty good percentage of them drive by the brail method, (clearance is good until you run into to something, then go in a different direction).

I think it would be worth a look. But get a mobile RV repairman to go with you. It's worth the extra $$. You may find a gem or a toad.

Anybody else notice that a REPAIR SHOP recommended buying a former rental RV? Who profits when the repair bills add up?

You might beat the odds, but generally speaking, you are better off buying a gently used unit direct from a seller. Having a tech look it over before you pull the trigger is great advicce!

We looked at used rentals at a show about three years ago. Very plain and very basic, most smelled of a certain weed. My wife said it was cleaning products but I thought they smelled more like a Rock concert. They had them priced very near new. The ones we saw had 40k to 60k. I believe they belonged to a dealer. I may have tried to get a deal on one but my wife said "NO WAY".

Looked at them years ago but the mileage was really high on the units. No experience with them sorry.

Thank you to the members that responded to my question: CruiseAmerica resales. This site We have a 2017 Outlaw 29h but my nephew was looking to dip his toe into the water with something smaller and used. :-) .

I know that CW sells a small Freedom Elite for just a bit over 50K...

With a new rig warranty!

How much is he looking to spend?
(Sell him your 29H, and move up into a 37RB!)
