Question 2016 Thor ACE 29.4

An open question to fellow 2016 Thor ACE 29.4 owners. We just purchased ours (new). What improvements have you made, or thinking of making, to your unit?

One of the first things you might do is to have the alignment checked, especially if your coach has some miles on it. If you don't like the sway around corners and in the wind, by all means have the alignment guy perform the CHF (Cheap Handling Fix) front and rear that ties the sway bars down a bit more.

The CHF is a swaybar adjustment you can do on your own or have someone do. Very easy to do to the stock bars with no cost other than time. The CHF stiffens your factory bars. Search CHF for more info, great mod to do, improves handling. Alignment from the factory is not always good, best to have it checked.

You'll need an 18mm socket, 15mm wrench, a torque wrench set to 65 ft/lbs, maybe a scissor jack to move the bars, and about an hour or so of time. Really not hard to do unless you're like me and to big to fit under the coach! Lol. Be sure to check the rear swaybar mounting bolts, several owners have reported finding them loose. Oh, and also pick a day with good weather!

Nope not a valid assumption: Thor does nothing with the alignment. They leave it as it came from Ford. In fact, many motorhomes that come from Thor have notices stuck all over them instructing the new owner to get an alignment (ours had 3).

Yup - My new Hurricane needed some adjustment on the alignment before I had the Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer installed. A copy of the sticker is attached.
