Generator hour meter lying to me?

Amusing, and I'm not terribly concerned, but when we bought our 2016 Vegas 25.3, the generator showed about 475 hours and I was impressed. We have been on two trips and I took a look at the hour meter and there is now a "1" in front of the 500+ hours. So, we went from about 475 hours to 1,500 hours in a few weeks. I know for a fact we did NOT fall into a black hole. What the what?! How could that happen? Electrical issue? Would there be a way to confirm the hours on the generator?

Mine reads in tenths of an hour, i.e. 45.7 hours or 155.6 hours.

I have always had 2 meters, one inside and one on the generator itself. My hours meters also read in tenths of an hour.

That’s interesting. Okay. I will look into that one I get out to the storage lot and investigate the display a little closer. Even at me height it is still over my head and I may be missing that decimal from my viewpoint.

Thar's why I always carried two compasses with me in the woods. If one of them started lying: we just took a vote...
