Hi, this may not be the place where I should pose this question but here goes anyway. My onan generator 55KW on a Thor Windsport, 2013, all of a sudden quit running. After changing the fuel filter, air cleaner, oil and oil filter and spark plugs, I still can't get it to start and stay running. Is there a safety switch that needs to be re-set thanks,
Deryl

Frustrating!!

Could your fuel be bad? I know if stale fuel gets into the carb it can gum it up. Especially if you didn't use a fuel stabilizer at the end of last season. There are some products out there that can help, seafoam is one.
Maybe a fresh tank of gas with an additive to help flush the carburetor?

I don,t think it is fuel related. We just came off of a 4000 mile trip and were in the last leg of it when the problem surfaced. I don,t even know if the safety cut off switch has to be re-set but I would think so. Thanks for your observation.

The fuel pickup for the genset in the tank is above the engine fuel pickup in order to avoid the genset running the fuel totally out. Was your tank somewhere between 1/4 and empty when it quit? If so, maybe filling the tank and repriming the generator by holding down the stop/prime switch will fix it.

Might want to check the brushes as well - that was the issue I had last year on a Voltage 5th Wheel with the same generator.

Around the time your coach was built (2013) Onan had a bad run of fuel pumps. You might want to get that checked out.
