IRV2 all over again

Sprinters are no more special than any other chassis and should not be treated differently.
But we certainly feel more special...

Any and all questions poised here are usually answered by someone with some knowledge in that area. Each and every type of motor home is built differently but most use the same systems which is what makes this forum a great resource. There is also a lot of modifications that are openly shared here on the forum which can be adapted to other makes/models. If anyone has a specific question about a specific brand/chassis/coach someone with that model will usually see it and answer that specific question. This forum is one of the best ones that I have been on and I to owned a Winnebago and was on their forum as well as a couple of others. This one has been far more informational and helpful. I enjoy sharing on this forum anything that can help out a fellow member.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Paul

Hi Claude,
Mine doesn't do that...
take a look under the seat, and make sure that the controls aren't getting tangled-up.

Mine does not do that either. If your cab seat is not working properly, it might be a trip to a local MB dealer for the repair and not the mh dealership.

Paul,
Did you ever buy that jump-seat?

Hi Bob

No There is a concern from my wife if she can access the rear of the motor home with it in place while driving. She uses the bathroom frequently on the road. Plus we want to buy that car dolly first which is about $1500 plus shipping. I do want the jump seat but have to work out the issue of access with it in place first.

There's certainly no way to spin the passenger seat around: if that "jumper" is in place...

Hi,

My wife and I are new owners of a Thor Delano as well. So here's a question:

Have you figured out how to hook up to water AND close the storage door? Doesn't seem right to have to keep the entire door open while hooked up to water. Thoughts?

Paulwadley,

Which car dolly are you considering? New to RV'ing and need to plan for a toad. Worried about the MBZ Sprinter's ability to tow given how much weight is already in the rig when delivered from the factory (i.e. before you add me, beer, wife, beer, daughter, beer, three dogs, did I mention beer?).

One inch caulked Hole in floor.
Short hose extension running though the hole.
Quick connect fitting.

And another question - has anyone added a beefier sway bar and or sumo springs to a new Delano? If so, are those worth the investment?

I wouldn't caulk the hole. I'd leave the hose extension retractable into the bin. An expandable bilge plug from a boat if the hole was a rodent worry.

Hi Koho Camper

I have a 2018 Thor Siesta 24SS and installed Sumo Springs to the front and rear. They really help out with the side to side sway on the open highway as well as going into and out of driveways. They were easy to install.

I also read that most tow a jeep.... we just sold our Second jeep... right before we switched from 40’dp.... had a 2 door then went to 4 door....

not going to tow as this will be short term for us, mostly day travel... but might rethink and get a mini cooper or a smart car one of these days....

Smarts tow nicely behind Sprinters.
We've got a 2016 Prime, and it's great for two people and a tiny dog.
