Diesel sprinters - need a new sub-section

Yes, I am a new owner, 2021 Thor Delano 24fb, we downsized from a 40’dp... lots of resources and information on them, but it seems that the smaller class C diesel sprinters need our own section, they are very different units from classic Class C units. When trying to decide which to buy, I had problems finding just basic information.... please rethink this grouping....

Time to separate these into sub-sections
Class A
Class B
Class C
Sprinter units.

Just my idea...

I have had 2 dp, a class c gas, a truck cabover, and a travel trailer.... and tent.... and I am a 69yo female lifelong camper, while my husband still camps with me he is now disabled and I would love to be able to compare with others on our new delano.

Hi Diane and Larry
Welcome to the forum. I just sent you a private message regarding the MB Sprinters. There are many here on the forum and a lot of useful information to gain from everyone.

What would you compare?
Sell us on 'why'
I'll have to make up a number but I'll say 90 percent of all rv stuff is interchangeable or have 90 percent relatable knowledge.

You'll miss out on LOTS if you get so specific as to pay no attention to non specifics.

Broaden your horizons.
I've added a really nice and elegant electrical outlet tower to my 24.1
Others have added really nice and relatable electric powered valves to their waste water systems.
Others have added engine accessories.
The inevitable paint problem on yours is going to be the inevitable paint problem on a different model, and you'll miss the cure.
You'll miss it all....

IRV2 already has a Sprinter Forum. They also have Ford and Freightliner forums as well.

Why send folks over to them?
I'm like to see a section for the "Freds" in our group.

Because all of the requests for other sections would just duplicate IRV2 and that would reduce the effectiveness and utility of the Thor Forums.

"duplicate IRV2"?
We're way better than that site.

I also have a diesel sprinter and have searched all forums I could find. There are tons of us out there. IRv2 is a good forum but not like this one. This forum seems more civilized and mature than most of the others. I'm for it!

Ok.... Why do we need a sprinter group....
1.there are some things that will be sprinter specific....
2. Why not....
3. Because I am female
4.... well repeat number 3..

I do monitor lots of the other topics, and totally agree that some stuff is universal...

I am a member of IRV2... have been for about 10 years... when we had a forest river I was on there too.... you do realuze that all of these ‘’groups’’ are a part of the RVLife larger family....

I joined the winnebago group when We were looking at a warfarer.. so I could post and ask questions...
now I did actually buy a Thor, so I joined this forum... already eager to hear from other Delano/Tiburon owners....

Btw, if you have spent any time on the irv2 forum, I am a RVMutant.... and an ambassador on RVillage....

So you definitely want me happy..... lol... I taught jr high for 30 years, so I am a bit of a mixup...
Husband is retired military, so that is an odd combination, but we met online on the 9/11 on match.com, so it is interesting....

But back to topic, How can anyone not see the reasoning for a sprinter group... rather than lump it in with class A, B, and C.... i mean really...

Insert a Huge smile here....

Sprinter group
F53 group
E450 group
E350 group
Transit group
Freightliner group
Spartan group

IRV2 all over again

Sprinters are no more special than any other chassis and should not be treated differently.

Uncalled for. Sex and occupation has no bearing whatsoever on the topic. Keep it on topic.

I wouldn't mind a
Free parking section that doesn't publish to the www.
It would be just an internal section for off topic stuff like how to get cat barf out of the defroster vents(I don't own a cat). The 'I don't own a cat' vids on youtube are pretty entertaining.

And
I wouldn't mind a paid membership allowing some sort of lounge section(for what purpose I don't know) and it would come with a lot more{1000} pm storage.

Other than those two worthless sections I'm not much on sections.
I'd have to make up a number but I'll say the 30 of us active on here probably 95% to never click on a section for sectional use.

No no. He said silverlized manure, you didn't drop another hot water heater anode into the black holding did you?

I have yet to get anything useful to my coach from any post I have read on IR2 that was specific to Winnebago and my coach. There is also Winnebago owners forum, that I have tried, but what from I can see a few posters derail a lot of the views.

Thor also builds motorhomes on:

F-550
Chevy
RAM ProMaster

List gets long.

It was just a thought.... I will be very careful when I ask or make suggestions. I have gotten really good response from diesel sprinter owners on face book.... the thor owners group...

But thank you for your responses, thank you for taking a minute to answer.... I will monitor the general topics...

We traveled 45 states In our 10 years of retirement, until my husbands heart failed, this Delano is going to be mainly for day trips....

Thank you and have a great day.

Don't let it bother you... We are usually pretty much able to speak our minds in here, and we get along nicely.
maybe his coffee hadn't kicked-in yet.

What's this whole "humor" thing that you mentioned?
