Discolored mirrors

2018 Thor ACE 29.3. Left at outside storage place and 2 months later the mirrors are spotty and discolored. Assume it’s because they are painted chrome and cheap product. Mirrors were fine when storing in Connecticut, but 2 months in Florida did something.
Any solutions to cleaning them? Or painting?

Plastidip spray(diy) custom colors at dipmycar.com or standard colors at home depot etc.
Or
Vinyl wrap(many window tint shops do this)any color imaginable and custom graphics.
Both are super-easily removable/ renewable.

Paint is the last choice due to prep and reprep when it fails.

Inferior metal to begin with combined with a high saturation of salt in the air...that is always present. A very fine steel wool with soapy water will help a little...then coat them with a light oil before storage. Its everything, imcluding the undercarriage and all the cheap metal fasteners they use during assembly.

Any 410 or less SS can't tolerate salt or chlorine, nor of course carbon steel. Without rust formation

Most of the time the problem with the mirrors is the flaking of the chrome off the base. You could be a victim of salt spray, acid rain or a storage neighbor washing their rig with some bleach or other caustic cleaner.

You should check but I believe your mirrors are chromed plastic.

My 2 cents, I use blue magic metal polish cream, the last can I got at Walmart, I have used this on almost everything shiny, the plastic grill on my truck and motor home, aluminum rims on the motor home and an old corvette I restored and those rims were bad, and even on the plastic chrome mirror on my truck and mh it also leaves a protective coating, I even used it to remove some rust spots on a refrigerator we have in our garage, works way better than mothers.
